Guess who was voted as having the worst hairstyle of the 21st century?

Some people are known for having a really nice head of hair.

It’s one of the first things you comment on when you see a co-worker with a new ‘do: “hey, did you get a haircut?” we ask, as if getting a hair cut is something that people don’t tend to do every 6-8 weeks or so (depending on the person, of course).

Why are we so fascinated with hair, either having it or being jealous of someone who has more (or less) than we do?

Update on Girls Gone Wild lawsuit

So a few years ago, Web Watch wrote about a woman who LOST A LAWSUIT AGAINST GIRLS GONE WILD regarding her appearance in a Girls Gone Wild video, even though she is on film saying “no, I will not do this”.

The jury said that there was “implied consent” just for Tamara Favazza being present in the bar where the filming was going on, regardless of whether she willingly removed her top on her own (which she did not do).

Only 52% of cellphone owners have done this

It’s happened to everyone, at one time or another.

You’ve stepped away from your desk, bar stool, wherever — and not 3 minutes later you discover that your cellphone is missing.

Gone, in a blink of an eye.  Your entire life – photos, contacts, important numbers, etc — all gone forever.  Stolen, perhaps. Lost, definitely.

And the chances of finding your phone in the Lost & Found are likely slim to none.

What was the best video game system ever made?

Web Watch has owned a fair number of home video game systems over the years.

Among others, we’ve had your basic PONG machine, the classic Atari 2600, a Nintendo Game Boy, Turbografx 16, Xbox, various Playstations, and a Wii.  An entire industry could be devoted to the number of random game cartridges we have lying around for defunct (or soon to be defunct) systems.

How to collect every baseball card ever made

Everyone has a collection of some sort.

Some people collect spoons, some people collect Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts from cities they’ve been.  Some people do the Disney or Olympic pin trading thing, while others focus on specific types of artwork, or books.

Sure, it could lead to hoarding — but if your friends go out of their way to get you an item “because you have so many other things just like it”, then you just may already have a collection of sorts.  And maybe it’s time to get some new friends.

How to Silence Earworms

Web Watch has told you about earworms before, those pesky little pieces of songs that get stuck in your head so you can’t get them out.

Earworms, for the music industry, are good – they prove that there really is such a thing as a song that you’ll never forget.

What does the average wedding cost?

They say that there are three things that one should expect to consider as The Most Important Expenses in your lifetime:  a new car, a new home, and your first wedding.

(Kids, naturally, are also an expense over time — but that’s an expense that returns love and so much more, so Web Watch will leave that one out of this discussion.)
