What your sleep habits say about you

How many hours of sleep do you need a night?

Some people religiously go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 5am, a good seven hours of sleep every night.  They are also likely to have a decent breakfast and workout before heading off to be at the office before everyone else.

These go-getters tend to piss off everyone else around them, don’t they?

Then there are those who still can’t shake their old college habits, where staying up until 3am was no big deal.  For them, they get their most productive work done between 11pm and 2am, when the whole world is asleep.  Sure, they may wake up at 11am or later, making it hard for them to relate to the rest of the 9a-5p world, but that’s their own cross to bear.

But are their PERSONALITY TRAITS THAT NIGHT OWLS exhibit more so than those who keep a more normal daylight schedule?  Yes, yes there are.

First, let’s talk about some extremely famous folks who preferred to stay up late:

  • Bill Clinton
  • Adolph Hitler
  • Josef Stalin
  • Winston Churchill
  • Barack Obama

Maybe running a country or an empire requires less sleep.

But what are some things that night owls are more prone to do?  According to the study, people who stay up all night are more likely to be into casual sex and risk taking.

They also tend to be more intelligent, have a higher sense of entitlement, and are more likely to exploit others.   People who thrive at night are usually more extroverted than those who like to go to bed earlier.
