Remember when you would go off to summer camp and you’d all spend the most awesome summer together and then you go home promising to write each other every day, and then you end up with a PEN PAL FOR LIFE?

Web Watch knows some folks who’ve done that — and they’ve become really close with their long-distance (and many years-old) writing partner.  And with Facebook making almost all letter writing completely obsolete, there’s still an audience out there who may have limited access to computers and also have nothing really to do for long periods of time other than practice their writing skills.

Who’s that, you say?

Yup, these long-incarcerated folks are looking for friendly people out in the real world to write to them and share stories of what’s going on outside the Big House.   We may send letters and care packages to the Troops, but don’t prisoners also deserve a little love over the holidays as well?
