A Kentucky Derby Bourbon Balls Recipe

Just in time for the Kentucky Derby in Louisville running later today, here is just one of many different recipes you may find for KENTUCKY DERBY BOURBON BALLS.

  • 1 Cup Vanilla Wafers, crushed
  • 1 Cup Chopped Pecans
  • 1 Cup Powdered Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Cocoa
  • 2 Jiggers Bourbon (one jigger equals 1.5 ounces, in case you don’t have an official jigger measure handy)
  • 1-1/2 Tsp White Corn Syrup

Mix all ingredients together.  Chill slightly, then shape into balls while cool.  Finish by rolling balls around in powdered sugar.

As an alternative, you can dip your balls into melted chocolate or roll your balls around in more cocoa.  Up to you.  Or try all three variations.
