The Most Expensive Restaurants in America

A few months back, Web Watch wrote about the TOP 100 RESTAURANTS IN THE WORLD.

Now, while you may not be able to travel all around the world to eat at one of the top 100 restaurants, you could always try treating yourself by eating at one of these MOST EXPENSIVE RESTAURANTS IN AMERICA.

One thing that these restaurants don’t do that makes them so special?  All the things that Web Watch looks for in a quality dining establishment, perfect for date night:

  • They don’t have chairs/tables bolted to the floor
  • They don’t have a drive-thru window
  • They don’t serve free meals for kids with an adult meal purchase

Unlike those more common restaurants, you can expect to pay upwards of $1000 for a meal at any of these places, just for the privilege of being able to say that you did it.

It’s one thing to brag about flying around the world just to get a piece of pie.  It’s another to spend the same amount of money and not have to leave home.

So here are the TOP TEN MOST EXPENSIVE RESTAURANTS that you may want to take the time to search out:

  1. The French Laundry
  2. Per Se (rated as the Best Restaurant in America)
  3. Michael Mina
  4. Alinea
  5. Charlie Trotters
  6. Melisse
  7. Tru
  8. Les Nomades
  9. Daniel
  10. Everest

Of the other 15 restaurants that are on this highly-expensive list, Web Watch can say that not only have we driven by a few, we’ve even tried to get a reservation at the French Laundry (but were not so surprisingly turned down, most likely due to the ridiculousness of trying to get a reservation 3 weeks in advance for a Saturday evening).

Oh, we’ll eat there eventually.  Let’s hope the meal is worth it when we do.
