Top 12 Trendiest Baby Names of All Time

Baby names are very important to get right.

Web Watch has heard parents struggle with getting the name of their offspring exactly right, that the monogram isn’t weird, or that they aren’t going to subject their kids to unmerciless teasing because their name just happens to rhyme with “fart”.

Kids can be cruel, but parents can be unintentionally cruel as well.

But some baby names are historically more popular than others – and those are the names that you’ll traditionally find in those baby name books that every parent can be seen flipping through during those nine panicked months when they have to pick out The Perfect Baby Name for their new child.

But while some names come and go in cycles as celebrities name their kids after what they think will be unique to them over the years, some names spike in popularity for a short period of time – only to never be heard from again.

And that’s the research that FLOWING DATA did when they analyzed hundreds of thousands of names in US history to see if there were any naming trends that stuck out to them.

And that’s how they were able to identify these 12 TRENDIEST BABY NAMES OF ALL TIME , presented in groups from 1880 through the present, in 25-year chunks.   Okay, the first chunk is more like 10 years, but go with us here.

For GIRLS, the Top Trendiest Names since 1880 were:
