The cheapest baseball beer in the country

What are your baseball game rituals?

Do you always have to grab a hot dog, cotton candy, peanuts?  Do you insist on wearing a rally cap, bringing a glove to the game in the hopes that you’ll catch a foul ball?

For some, it’s not a baseball game without a cold, frosty beer in their hands – delivered to your seat by an enterprising college student who knows the way to make a perfect pour into the tall plastic cup.

But how much should you be paying for a beer at the ballpark?

The average rate is about $7-$10 for a 16oz beer – if you’re lucky.

Still, some BALLPARKS HAVE CHEAPER BEERS THAN OTHERS, OUNCE FOR OUNCE.

If you’re looking to save some money, you might not want to buy a beer in Boston – the Red Sox have the highest per ounce beer cost, where you will expect to pay as much as $0.60 per ounce of golden amber beverage.

St Louis, home of Budweiser, has the second highest beer cost of $0.56 per ounce.

The least expensive ballpark beer can be had over in Los Angeles or Arizona, where the beers cost $0.28 and $0.29 per ounce respectively.  In fact, the vast majority of beer costs are solidy in the $0.35-$0.38 per ounce range.

So keep that benchmark in mind when you’re evaluating whether the 16oz draft is a better bargain than the 24oz import can.  Calculate by the ounce, and you won’t go wrong.
