When was the last time you went swimming in public?
Are you the type of man who feels it necessary to wear a t-shirt or a diving shirt when you hop into the pool? Or are you a man who proudly flaunts your man-boobs for the entire world to see? (no, you don’t get bonus points for having amazing abs — you are not the type of guy who would hide them in the first place)
Women don’t have that luxury, to bathe topless whenever they’d like. Laws have been written specifically to keep a woman’s nipple from ever seeing the light of day, and yet hairy man boobs (moobs?) are allowed to be seen by all.
What is it about the nipple that is so scary that it can’t be shared? Underboob is okay. Sideboob has become a real word. Mid boob, cleavage are fine…. but as soon as a tiny peek of nipple is exposed in any way — sexual or not — the entire world goes into a frenzy.
Trying to get people to change their way of thinking, that a woman’s breast (and her nipple) are not things that should be hidden is part of the gender-equality movement behind FREE THE NIPPLE.
