Everybody loves where they live for some particular reason or other.
It could be as simple as “home is where home is”, or that you have grown up with a tight circle of friends in the neighborhood and don’t ever want to move away. Web Watch knows many people who moved out of their parents’ home only to move in to the house next door or just down the street.
Did they do it strictly for family? Sure, in part — but the area they chose to live in must have some redeeming qualities about it as well.
There’s a reason that people love to visit California or Florida or other warmer locales, however — something about being warm, but not too warm, just feels… nice.
The whole idea, however, is to categorize where the “nicest” places in the US happen to be. Perhaps make a chart or a graph that can rank each area of the country appropriately.
The first step, however, is to identify exactly what “nice” or “pleasant” happens to be. For the purposes of this discussion, it’s all about having a mean temperature that ranged between 55-75 degrees and didn’t have a significant amount of rain or snow.
It really should come as no surprise at all that the FIVE MOST PLEASANT PLACES TO LIVE are all in California:
- Los Angeles
- San Diego
- Oxnard
- Simi Valley
- San Francisco
Web Watch has visited all of these places and can agree – they all are very pleasant.
But it’s much harder to find those places that are considered the FIVE LEAST PLEASANT PLACES TO LIVE under the same criteria when averaged out over 23 years worth of weather data. There are just so many choices. But, using the same criteria, here are those five that kinda suck:
- McAllister, Montana
- (near) Reno, Nevada
- Clancy, Montana
- Douglas, Wyoming
- (near) Cedarville, California
