How to make up to $25,000 in 60 days or less

Congratulations!  You have a new job!

…and you find out you hate it.  Like, really really really hate it.

Do you hate your job so much that you despise going to the office and working with the other people there, and every day is a struggle just to show up and do your assigned tasks?

And yet you continue to go through the motions, because you kinda like your assigned duties – it’s the environment and everything around that’s really not agreeing with you.

The Complete Guide

Would you believe that sometimes the feeling is mutual between the company and the employees?

Companies don’t want angry, bitter, non-conforming employees hanging out and bringing down morale any more than those employees want to be there.  And there are some companies that are being proactive about it and not only asking those employees who don’t fit in to leave, they’re paying them to do so.

ONE COMPANY WILL PAY UP 10% OF YOUR ANNUAL SALARY (up to $25,000) FOR YOU TO LEAVE.

Riot Software, maker of LEAGUE OF LEGENDS, believes in their corporate culture so much that they would rather pay you to leave than have you stick around and muck it up for everyone else around you.  They call this QUEUE DODGE, and it’s modeled after a similar program at ZAPPOS, where they’ll pay you $2000 to quit.

There is a catch – there is a time limit to elect to participate in the program.  At RIOT, you can only Queue Dodge during your first 60 days at the company.

In both cases, the philosophy behind it is the same, as quoted by TONY HSIEH:

“We want to make sure that [people] are here for more than just a paycheck. We want people that believe in our long term vision and want to be a part of our culture.”

There are plenty of potential employees out there for companies to choose from. If you don’t like where you are, companies are looking for opportunities to not only make you happy by allowing you to move on your way, but also to open up a job position for someone that they’d love to work with for the next 10-20 years.

And to do it as part of the new hire process? That’s the way to do it.  Why waste anyone’s time if they don’t want to be there?
