About Web Gangsta

Web Gangsta^® as we know today may have been just a glimmer when the Internet started, but Web Gangsta was still busy gathering and sending notes out about what was online in 1994, back in the early days of the World Wide Web – right about the time MOSIAC, the first graphical web browser, was born.

Web Gangsta’s big break was five years later in 1999. On WNNX 99X’s morning show “The Morning X with Barnes, Leslie, and Jimmy” (featuring Steve Barnes, Leslie Fram, and Jimmy Baron), we talking about the latest news on the Internet, Technology, Video Games, and other topics.  Web Gangsta web design and custom programming, Internet consulting, and other web-related activities soon followed.

Over the years, Web Gangsta was also heard occasionally on 99X’s midday show, “The Steve Show with Steve Craig”, 99X’s afternoon drive with Axel Lowe, 99X and WWWQ All The Hits Q100′s public affairs program with Matt “Organic” Jones, and 99X’s “Toucher, Jimmy, and Leslie” morning show (with Fred Toucher joining Jimmy Baron and Leslie Fram), and soon was getting fan mail from around the world – from New York to San Diego, Miami to Alaska,London, South Africa, New Zealand…and places in-between!

Web Gangsta’s last segment was in 2007. But emails still arrive asking about websites that Web Gangsta has talked about over the years. So after all this time, the Web Gangsta archives (dating back to those early posts back in 1994) are finally being put online to be enjoyed by all.  Along with some new stuff as the mood strikes.
