Who doesn’t like a little sour candy once in a while?
We know one person who absolutely hates and loves all types of sour candies: your local dentist. They love the candy because candy of all sorts eventually leads to cavities and more patients. They hate the sour candies because of what they do to tooth enamel, simply as a matter of the high levels of acidity required to give you that mouth-puckering sour taste.
Web Watch has a friend who regularly jokes that he has a lack of adequate tooth enamel because of something his mother did (or didn’t do) while he was growing in the womb. While there might be some truth to that, he should also take into account the types of candy that he chooses to eat.

You know, those artists who – at the very drop of the first note from any of the songs – just make you want to dive for the clicker/keyboard/volume control and just turn that crap off?
For instance, Web Watch can’t stand listening to the Rolling Stones. Sure, we appreciate what they’ve done in the history of rock. We get the whole Mick Jagger, Keith Richards thing. But after a year spent with a roommate who’s ONLY consideration for music was the Stones’ discography, we grew quickly tired of hearing All Stones, All The Time and since then have lost all interest in what the Stone have ever done.

Howie Mandel may have something with his “fist bump” mentality. Touching other people can be freaky, especially if you don’t know where they (or their hands) have been.
Web Watch knows quite a few people who still refuse to wash their hands after using the restroom, sad but true. And we certainly hate being introduced to someone immediately after they obviously return from the restroom, as that initial slightly damp didn’t-quite-finish-drying-my-hands handshake is always a bit icky. We cringe now even thinking about it.

We were finally free!
Today’s college students owe an average of $25,250 in student debt – along with high unemployment for when they do get out of school with their degree. So it’s imperitive to be thinking ahead in terms of what degree are you trying to earn, and counterbalance that with the real-world scenario of what those jobs will actually pay you once you begin your work life.
Employers are always talking about how today’s coddled college students are coming in for job interviews and asking (demanding, even) salaries in the 50′s, 60′s, and 80′s. Fresh faces out of school might not be able to make such demands — especially if they haven’t choosen their career path wisely.
Incorrect expectations, it seems.

Live From New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live
We all watch Saturday Night Live faithfully every week because it’s still the best place to find topical comedy and energizing live performances of the latest artist-of-the-week. (To be honest, TiVo is our friend here, as Sunday morning sprinting is about all SNL usually deserves these days).
And yes, we’re regularly disappointed with the content taken on the whole. Digital Shorts should be funny week-in, week-out… but they’ve been more hit-or-miss these days.

Web Watch was visiting an office a few weeks ago when the people we were visiting were trying to log onto the shared computer in the conference room.
They thought they knew the password, but something wasn’t right. After about 20 minutes of trying, they called their IT guy for help. He walked in, went over to the computer, and read the correct password off of a Post-It Note that had been taped to the machine specifically for this purpose.
This was in a high-security building, in a room that only a few people had keys for — and the password was taped to the machine for anyone to use. It probably wouldn’t be a problem, as many people would need to use that same computer, but we’ve been told for years not to post passwords on Post-It Notes.

Web Watch remembers we had difficulty choosing our college major.
We certainly wanted an easy path (hey, who wants to work hard while in college?). But the selections that were offered were not necessarily in any direction that we wanted to take.
So we ended up with a major and two minors, all of which are not at all where we ended up going as a career — so it really didn’t matter what we choose. And years later, after you’ve established yourself in a successful job, what you did in college really doesn’t have any affect anymore… well, except what you post on Facebook, which will follow you to your grave.
But one thing that college students should look at when choosing a potential major is whether they’ll be able to get a job right out of college with it. Sadly, not all majors will lead to that initial lucrative paycheck that can help you begin paying back your student loans.
Here’s a list of the 25 college majors that have the highest unemployment rate, courtesy of the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce. Here are the top (worst) 15:
Yeah, take a look at the dropoff in percentages here. From 15% to just under 11%. Those top four major choices may be ones you want to avoid unless you already have a hookup.
So what majors SHOULD a college student pick if they want to make some immediate cash? It might be worth checking out the 25 majors with the lowest unemployment rates. The top (best) 15 are:
If you’re a video game addict — and let’s face it, if you have at least two “sequel” games in your game library you probably qualify — then you may have sometimes used video games as a way to escape your mundane, humdrum life.
Because who wouldn’t want to be that guy in Grand Theft Auto who can just run around and carjack whatever he feels like sometimes? Drive around and run bad drivers off the road?
Yeah, feels kinda good, doesn’t it?
