This Decade’s Best Music Video is by the White Stripes (duh!)

LEGO Rock Band (WII)Web Watch has been a huge fan of ANTVILLE’s VIDEO BLOG, which regularly lists some of the newest, greatest, most interesting music videos available online.

This week, Antville has decided to release what they are calling THE 101 TOP MUSIC VIDEOS OF THE DECADE, and with the number one spot being taken by the White Stripes’ FELL IN LOVE WITH A GIRL, Web Watch really can’t say that Antville got it wrong.

But what were the rest of the top ten of the 424 that Antville put up for vote?

Two Golden Shower Videos

Golden Shower was a Brazilian band that hit the net in the early 2000′s, and over the next few years spent some time creating interesting mashups of video, electronica, and graphics. 

In 2002, Golden Shower released the song and video entitled TOTAL CONTROL, and began to win even more awards and recognition for their work.  The video is a tribute to the classic Tyco TCR race sets from the late 70′s-early 80′s.

Those of you who remember those Tyco TCR race car sets should have fond memories of the excitement an awesome TCR layout could be.   And it was always your friends who had the cool track setups, wasn’t it?

The College Humor Prank War

The guys over at COLLEGE HUMOR have had a lot of fun at each others’ expense over the years by pranking each other.

To date, there have been seven classic pranks, each one escalating in over-the-topness from the previous one.   Let’s take a look at where it started, and where it has led to so far.  Some things that you can take from the following videos are:

  • having a sense of humor is required if you work for a website called College Humor
  • don’t get into a prank war with people who are funnier and more creative than you are, who also have a seemingly unlimited amount of money and friends to assist them

Full House Screws Up Walt Disney World

One thing that I get annoyed with is when TV shows take liberties with established facts about existing places.  For example, MTV’s Road Rules screwed up in their first season by showing the Winnebago driving north on a highway. The problem was that each subsequent highway shot was from a section of road that was further south than the previous one.  All the editors had to do was place those highway shots in their correct order.  They were going to show those shots anyway, so at least be smart about it.  It was like insisting that the first five letters of the alphabet are “A-B-E-D-C”.
