No, you’re getting quite a few more ingredients thrown into the mix.  That bun?  Probably has some sugar in it.  Those fries? Maybe some extra starch was sprayed on them before cooking.

In case you didn’t know, children’s playgrounds are dirty, filthy places.

It doesn’t really matter what type of playground you’re talking about.  Playgrounds at schoolyards and parks are often found scattered with broken bottles and used condoms.   Playgrounds at McDonald’s and Chuck E Cheese are covered in germs.

Some parents consider the ingestion of some germs as a healthy habit for their kids, in order to help build up immunities.

Today, we ran across a USC study entitled SEX AND RELATIONSHIPS ON THE STREET: HOW HOMELESS MEN JUDGE PARTNER RISK ON SKID ROW.

The study took a look at the homeless population, some of whom have HIV/AIDS or other STDs due to frequent unprotected sex.

Research shows connection between loss of virginity and divorce rates

Researchers have uncovered a link between when a woman lost her virginity and the likelihood of her getting a divorce later in life.

The study was published in the April edition of the JOURNAL OF MARRIAGE AND FAMILY in a piece entitled ADOLESCENT SEXUALITY AND THE RISK OF MARITAL DISSOLUTION.

Nope.  It ends up that size has a direct correlation to sperm count.  In other words, the larger the size, the more fertile sperm are around to help in the baby-making.

A new study has been published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology entitled PERCEIVED PROPOSER PERSONALITY CHARACTERISTICS AND GENDER DIFFERENCES IN ACCEPTANCE OF CASUAL SEX OFFERS by Terri Conley.  

Say what? 

Yeah – it’s a study on what men and women look for when entertaining an offer to have a one night stand. A hook-up. Friends with benefits. Casual sex.

So what did the study find out?  That men and women are basically the same when it comes to deciding who – or more importantly, why - we decide to hook up with someone or not.

Many years ago, Web Watch told you about a girl who figured out that it was mathematically possible to FOLD A SINGLE PIECE OF PAPER OVER ON ITSELF 12 TIMES.

The long-held reasoning was that it was physically impossible to fold a piece of paper in half more than eight times, but Britney Gallivan proved that paper could be folded over 12 times.

Ray Kurzweil is a very bright, inventive person.  Forbes magazine, for example, calls him the “ultimate thinking machine” and “the rightful heir to Thomas Edison”.  Among his accomplishments is the flatbed scanner, text-to-speech reading machine for the blind, and a music synthesizer.  He was inducted into the National Inventor’s Hall of Fame in 2002.

So yeah, when Ray Kurzweil says stuff – people tend to pay attention.

That old adage, about putting a million monkeys into a room with a million typewriters and eventually they’ll write the collective works of Shakespeare, may not necessarily be a realistic statement anymore.

At least if by “writing Shakespeare” is the same as “painting art masterpieces”.

So says a recent study from Boston University that says that PEOPLE PREFER ART PAINTED BY OTHER PEOPLE, AND NOT BY MONKEYS.  We know, how could you go wrong with something like this?
