How much money has Cards Against Humanity earned?

By web gangsta | Published:

By now, hopefully you’ve played that game that Web Watch told you about last year, CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY.

Yes, it’s a sick game, for sick people.  And funny as hell.  Web Watch ends up giving away copies of the game to friends who want to take it with them immediately after Game Night is over. We’re single-handedly keeping CARDS AGAINST HUMANITY in business, it seems.

By web gangsta | Published:

Planning what to wear for a wedding can be stressful enough — the dress, the shoes, the reception shoes, the post-reception shoes, the pre-party outfits, the hair and makeup outfit, etc.

But can you believe what the bride doesn’t panic about?

HommeMystere: It’s lingerie… for men!

By web gangsta | Published:

One of life’s greatest gift-giving spectacles is the parade of men in stores like Victoria’s Secret, wandering around and trying to figure out what type of underwear or lingerie they should buy for their significant other.

As many women say, no matter how many times their man will insist that the gift of lingerie is for her – it’s still a gift for him.

So what’s the female equivalent?

How much money is made per music format sold?

By web gangsta | Published:

We all own some music.

Whether it be strictly on digital downloads from Apple, Amazon, or other digital vendors; CD purchases, cassette tapes, vinyl — or, if you’re going super old-school, 8-tracks or even some 45 singles… owning music to be able to play on-demand, in the manner and format that most appeals to you, is what some would equate to living the perfect life. Supermarkets throw away $2,300 worth of food every day

By web gangsta | Published:

Remember when Web Watch told you about FOOD EXPIRATION DATES?  All about how you can determine the shelf life of food?

And then we told you that it wasn’t just food that could expire, but that COSMETICS HAVE EXPIRATION DATES too?

Well, you at home aren’t the only people who pay attention to the SELL BY, BEST BY, or USE BY dates that you find on your local supermarket products.

It should come as no surprise that the supermarkets themselves do the exact same thing.  And throwing out all that allegedly “expired” food costs each supermarket, on average, about $2,300.

Closing the barn door causes 1/5 of all injuries

By web gangsta | Published:

Women will never understand the shrieks of pain that men felt while watching the FRANK AND BEANS, BEANS AND FRANKS scene in THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT MARY.

For Ben Stiller, having to act as if his junk was caught in his zipper was probably just 10% acting, and 90% muscle memory from the last time it actually happened to him.

The number one reason people hate buying a new car

By web gangsta | Published:

When was the last time you purchased a car (whether it be new or used)?

Chances are, unless you’re in a sales job with a company-provided vehicel, you’re not one of those people who go out and buy a car every two years.

Maybe it’s because the car buying experience is not something that we do every day that we approach the process with a bit of hesitation and apprehension..

Looking for a Prom theme for this year? Try one of these…

By web gangsta | Published:

It’s getting to be that time of year again, when young love turns to thoughts of spending Mom & Dad’s money on outrageous limo fees, overpriced dinners in linen tablecloth restaurants, ill-fitting tuxedos, dresses with WAY too little fabric, and a hotel room for the “after party” (if you know what we mean).

Yes, it’s prom season.

And it can be costly — last year, VISA REPORTED that the average prom family was spending upwards of $1,078 each for their kids to have the night of their young, impressionable lives.

And for the rest of us who have the joy of watching the restaurants around us get booked for weekend-upon weekend by loud — and occasionally first-time-drunk — teenagers, the biggest question we want to know the answer to is WHAT’S THE PROM THEME THIS YEAR?

Japan doesn’t just celebrate Valentine’s Day. Here’s what they do instead…

By web gangsta | Published:

Did you know that Japan doesn’t celebrate Valentine’s Day?

Web Watch was shocked to hear this, just as you were we can imagine.  Despite all the marketing that Hallmark and other greeting card companies have done thus far, could you believe that Japan has withstood that barrage of marketing and decided to do their own thing instead?

Need a new logo design? Try a Logo Contest

By web gangsta | Published:

Does your company have an iconic logo, one that defines who you are or what you do in an instant?

We’re not talking about a cartoon character spokesman, like the Geico Gecko (or the Geico Caveman, take your pick).  We’re talking something more akin to the “apple” logo for Apple.

As we’ve seen on any number of episodes of THE PITCH or CELEBRITY APPRENTICE, a vital part of marketing your business or product can come down to the most simple of items, THE LOGO.

Video Fun: Fresh Balls

By web gangsta | Published:

Guys – have you ever felt, you know, “not so fresh”… down there?

Seriously, Web Watch couldn’t believe the conversation that a buddy of ours was telling about a friend of his who uses a POWDER-FILLED SOCK to apply GOLD BOND MEDICATED POWDER to, well, just about everything (if you know what we mean).

Apparently this dude has a knotted up tube sock that he just swings around, flapping powder where he needs it most, in all those hard-to-get-at places.

We can only imagine the cloud of dust that lingers all over his bathroom floor.

Current tattoo trends, for women – and what they mean about you

By web gangsta | Published:

They say that a tattoo is a personal choice.  A statement.

When you have a tattoo, you don’t need to explain its meaning to anyone; why you have it, where you have it, what that tattoo represents — that’s entirely you, and no one else’s.

Move over, Cookie Puss and Fudgie the Whale: there’s a new cake pan to consider

By web gangsta | Published:

Parents and home bakers everywhere struggle with this problem every day.

Their kids want specialized character cakes, and the parents don’t want to violate Alton Brown’s credo of “no single taskers in the kitchen”.   You don’t want to be stuck with a specialized character cake pan, only to end up with just one cake decorating option available to you until the end of time.

Men: How to stop the dreaded “pee spot” from appearing

By web gangsta | Published:

While most any story about pee can be amusing, there are times when pee is not a laughing matter.

There are any number of reasons why adult men would suffer from occasional incontinence, or just can’t stop the post-pee drip from appearing on the outside of their khaki pants — and that usually happens immediately before an important business meeting where you have to stand in front of the company board and make a formal presentation.

And all you can think about is “are they looking at my pee stain”?

Gay households buy more alcohol than straight households

By web gangsta | Published:

It’s been no secret about how much money legalizing gay marriage could add to the economy.  What with the parties, suits and gowns, flowers, food, music — it’s not just any party, it’s a celebration.

So Web Watch isn’t surprised to see what one recent survey had to say about what same-sex households liked to spend money on.
