Yeah, we thought so. That’s a whole bunch of you out there, living in sin.
And while you may get yelled at by your parents or your clergy for shacking up with someone, maybe there’s some good reason for you to live together before marriage:
If you’re on a tight budget like most newlywed couples are, then you may be the type of couple that still wants to throw a fancy, special wedding but are trying to keep your costs down.
There are all sorts of ways to do this — Web Watch is in favor of the “don’t invite anyone” wedding in terms of cost containment — but on the other hand, our input on this subject is often summarily dismissed.
Living together before marriage: it’s not exactly a growing trend, it’s just something that’s been done for years and years.
Heck, if you want to get technical, Adam and Eve “lived together” in Biblical times. There certainly wasn’t a priest around to make their arrangement an official “marriage”, if you will.
And while Web Watch knows that some parents are perfectly fine with the permanent roommate situation that living together brings, we also know of some couples who purposefully hide their living arrangements from the parental units. It’s all about avoiding the wrath and disappointment of the parents, combined with the realization that the living-in-sin couple might have to pay for their own wedding arrangements, we assume. To each their own. Whatever works.
How can anyone get married and not go on a decent honeymoon to some exotic locale?
Web Watch knows someone who’s idea of an exotic honeymoon destination was Branson, Missouri. And before you comment to mock the happy couple – they’ve been together 15 years and have been back to Branson a number of times.
Different strokes for different folks. It’s what makes their relationship special.
If you spent this weekend watching your TiVo’s recordings of The Royal Wedding, then you can rest assured – the entire audio program is being released on CD, vinyl, and as a digital download on May 10th, 2011. That’s a pretty impressive, fast turnaround time for something that was watched by over 2 billion people worldwide.
Those of you who are into vinyl may want to splurge – that edition will include a special collector’s booklet.

That wedding where we had to arrive six hours early to clean the bathrooms at the reception hall
And then there was the wedding where the DJ was asked to play the first 20 seconds – and only the first 20 seconds – of this NSFW song during the reception:
Seriously, that was a wedding to remember. And all of the above — good friends, and good times all.
And no, we won’t mention the engagement party where the groom-to-be publically and graphically declared his love for his bride’s bosom. Because that was not a wedding, and therefore ineligible for this post.
