Marriage infidelity is not something to take lightly – at least, that’s the message that family, friends, church, the media, and other societal observations have forced upon us.
Many stories have been told of how cheating can ruin lives.
But maybe that’s not always the case, depending on where you live and how you’ve been brought up.

Where did you meet your spouse?
Was it at some cheesy bar during Mardis Gras? Was it on the plane ride home from a bachelor party in Las Vegas? Or was it merely by being introduced through your circle of friends?
Web Watch knows people who’ve gone deep into long-term relationships based on all the above, which just goes to show that sometimes it’s all about where you are at the time rather than what you’re doing at the time as to what determines who you may end up forever.

Did you live with your spouse first before you were married?

Browsing PINTEREST can be fun and scary.
It’s fun, because it gives you some insight into things your S.O. is interested in, and it’s great for brainstorming possible ideas for gifts, weddings, and other events.
But Pinterest does have a dark side.

It’s been said that a wedding ring is supposed to cost two months salary.
We all know that’s a load of baloney. It’s all marketing.
Seriously – all that “two months salary” thing is going to do is force kids to get married while they’re young and unemployed — that’s how you can keep that two months salary thing as cheap as possible.

Web Watch has been invited to many weddings – some, more than once (we have some rather prolific marriage-minded friends, you see).
But we do have a ritual that we try to go through with for every wedding – and that’s to leave a special “wedding night gift” for the happy couple at their hotel.
We know how stressful weddings can be for some couples, so we usually try to include items in the gift basket that they may have forgotten to pack for themselves. You can only imagine what that basket may contain.
Thoughtful, aren’t we?

Weddings can cost a lot of money. Web Watch has heard stories from our friends of their weddings costing tens of thousands of dollars — one even went into the six figures, partially courtesy of the location held high above Manhattan.
But just as there are many ways that can cause a wedding cost to skyrocket, there are plenty of other ways that the happy couple can cut down on the costs of some wedding specifics.

Planning what to wear for a wedding can be stressful enough — the dress, the shoes, the reception shoes, the post-reception shoes, the pre-party outfits, the hair and makeup outfit, etc.
But can you believe what the bride doesn’t panic about?

If you were to get married again, what are some things that you would do differently to save a little money?
Would you elope instead of throwing a large reception? Would you do a destination wedding in order to cut down on the guest list? Would you use eVite or social media in order to make your invitations affordable?

How many weddings do you expect to attend this year?
If you’re at the age where all your friends are getting married seemingly every other weekend all summer long, perhaps you should think again about saying “yes” to every RSVP that comes your way.
Putting on a wedding can be costly, as everyone knows. But attending a wedding has costs of its own.

Apparently, that’s a bunch of hooey, depending on who you talk with.

They say that there are three things that one should expect to consider as The Most Important Expenses in your lifetime: a new car, a new home, and your first wedding.
(Kids, naturally, are also an expense over time — but that’s an expense that returns love and so much more, so Web Watch will leave that one out of this discussion.)

Web Watch, like many of you, have seen our share of weddings and divorces from friends and family.
We’ve seen friends move from casually dating, to serious dating, to getting engaged and more. Web Watch knows one person who’s had three weddings in 10 years time.
Some people just like being married, it seems. Continue reading TOP REASONS WHY PEOPLE SHOULDN’T RUSH INTO MARRIAGE
What’s the age difference between you and your current partner?
Are you one who likes your spouse to be a little bit older than you are, or perhaps a little younger?
Times have past since our parents’ generation, where it was not unusual to marry your high school sweetheart, someone who you graduated with in the same class. Or even those times when your soulmate was just one year ahead or behind you.

We all have heard about young couples getting married straight out of high school, 18-year-olds who just KNOW that the person they’re marrying is The One for them.
And then there’s the Doug Hutchinsonand Courtney Stodden wedding, where the then 16-year-old Courtney married the 51-year-old actor. And while there is a significant age difference between Doug and Courtney, we can say that their love has outlasted at least one Kardashian marriage. So they do have that going for them.
But you should recall that when Courtney and Doug got hitched, there was a huge public outcry over not just their age difference, but also how Courtney’s mother gave permission for her 16-year-old daughter to go through with the marriage in the first place.
Look, if it was true love, Courtney and Doug could have waited two more years until she turned 18. Then, while still having a little bit of the creepy factor, it would at least be a legal union between adults rather than an arrangement with a minor (albeit one with parental approval).
