The Dallas Cowboys are “America’s Team”. But who’s number two on the list?

It’s been oft-said that the DALLAS COWBOYS are “AMERICA’S TEAM”, at least when it comes to football.

The Atlanta Braves claimed the same title for themselves for their ubiquitousness of games seen nationally on SUPERSTATION TBS back in the day.

The cheapest baseball beer in the country

What are your baseball game rituals?

Do you always have to grab a hot dog, cotton candy, peanuts?  Do you insist on wearing a rally cap, bringing a glove to the game in the hopes that you’ll catch a foul ball?

For some, it’s not a baseball game without a cold, frosty beer in their hands – delivered to your seat by an enterprising college student who knows the way to make a perfect pour into the tall plastic cup.

How to collect every baseball card ever made

Everyone has a collection of some sort.

Some people collect spoons, some people collect Hard Rock Cafe t-shirts from cities they’ve been.  Some people do the Disney or Olympic pin trading thing, while others focus on specific types of artwork, or books.

Sure, it could lead to hoarding — but if your friends go out of their way to get you an item “because you have so many other things just like it”, then you just may already have a collection of sorts.  And maybe it’s time to get some new friends.

Everybody loves football. (Women’s golf? Not so much)

There’s a reason that the entire world stops their day-to-day life and all attention turns to Super Sunday to watch the Best Two Teams in Football duke it out in the Super Bowl each year.

It’s because everybody knows that football – and the Super Bowl – are awesome.

How do we know?  We have proof!

Love Baseball but Hate Doing the Wave? Join the crowd…

The Wave Watcher's Companion: Ocean Waves, Stadium Waves, and All the Rest of Life's Undulations
The Wave Watcher’s Companion:
Ocean Waves, Stadium Waves, and All the Rest of Life’s Undulations

Web Watch has been told that we were the first to get a Wave started at Coors Field in Denver during a Colorado Rockies baseball game circa 1993 or 1994 or so.

We may not have the date correct, but the one fact we do know is true is that drunk college kids sitting in front of us are easily persuaded to do things that they might not normally do in public.

Like doing The Wave.

How better baserunning will win the World Series

Baseball - Skills & Drills: The FUNdamentals of Baserunning
Baseball – Skills & Drills: The FUNdamentals of Baserunning

One thing that Web Watch has trouble understanding is why the baseball season needs to extend out into November.

November is FOOTBALL season, as everyone knows.  Sure, throw in a little pre-season basketball or hockey if you’d like – at least those two are considered “winter” sports.  But baseball already has spring training, the boys of summer, and the fall classic.  Why do they need to bogart the winter season as well – it’s not like baseball is played outdoors in all types of weather, like we see with real sports like football.  Let’s keep the baseball playoffs to the fall months and be done with it.

Maybe the issue is that baseball players don’t really understand how to play the game.
