Using hospital elevators can kill you

Web Watch has told you about all the different ways physicians and other medical professionals spread germs and disease everywhere they go.

From dirty stethoscopes to dirty scrubs (or scrubs worn on airplanes, and then to who knows where!), nurses and doctors are constantly walking around in swirling packs of germs, like “Pigpen” from the Peanuts comic strip.

And it only gets worse from there.

Chances are your dentist does this… and it might kill you

Some people enjoy going to visit their dentist.  Many people don’t care for their annual visit and try to put it off as much as possible.

Maybe the people who don’t enjoy going to the dentist know something that the rest of us don’t:  that the Dentist is trying to kill you!

How doctors and nurses unknowingly spread infections

Web Watch has already told you about one way that DOCTORS AND NURSES SPREAD INFECTIONS, just by wearing their scrubs outside of the office.

(Remember, if you see a medical professional in front of you at the Starbucks and they’re wearing scrubs, they could have just come out of an infected surgical area and haven’t bothered to change. Ewww.)

But there’s ANOTHER WAY THAT DOCTORS AND OTHER MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS SPREAD DISEASE, and you may not be aware of it…

The Best Times of Day to Visit the Doctor

There are two places that people dread visiting: the DMV and the doctor’s office.

For whatever reason, both places tend to make your visit an excruciating painful routine of waiting, waiting, and more waiting.

While Web Watch can’t help you with the DMV, we can help you with your doctor visits.  Common sense says to book your doctor’s visit first thing in the morning, before they get backed up with patients that talk too much or have more complicated issues than you do.

But is that really the best time?

How much money do doctors make an hour?

They say that doctors make a ton of money.

And some really do.

But after you take into consideration the many long hours that they put into education and refining their skills and knowledge, some would say that its relatively fair compensation for what they have to go through to be able to fix us when things go horribly wrong physically.

Really, would you want a doctor that wasn’t highly compensated taking care of your body?

Study proves Web Watch was right over about icky Doctor clothing

Doctor Scrubs
Doctor Scrubs

Another day, another study that proves Web Watch was right ages ago.

Remember back when we told you that DOCTORS AND NURSE WERE SPREADING GERMS EVERYWHERE THEY GO?

Apparently, MSNBC didn’t use us as a reference when they published their story yesterday entitled HOSPITAL GARB HARBORS NASTY BACTERIA.  Frequent Web Watch readers, however, would already have known this and would have said “pfffft” to MSNBC’s late coverage of this important health-related topic.
