Video Fun: Boob Job or Adopted Child?

Web Watch knows a number of families that have adopted children or who have had children through invitro fertilization.  We’ve known our friends for years and celebrate their parenting successes with them just as we sympathized with them through their struggles to have children.

For some, adopting or invitro is the only choice they have for becoming a parent.  For others, it’s just another option to consider.

We know of one friend who wasn’t as close with a new parent as they should have been, and upon hearing of their new parent status decided to blurt out, “you look good for having just had a baby and come off maternity leave”.

They had adopted.  Our friend was embarassed, to say the least.

Top Phrases that Parents Search on Google For

Parenting can be tough, and parenting with the Internet can be even tougher.

It’s not because the Internet can’t help you be a better parent, but it’s the sheer volume of information – many of it conflicting, and much of it at the touch of your fingertips – that makes it difficult.

Before, parents would rely on a single reference book, or the advice of their own friends or parents for advice on how to raise a child or whether their child is advancing properly.

But now?  It’s a whole new world.

There’s a direct correlation between your health and your horoscope sign

“What’s your sign?”, he asks you at the bar.

Sure, it’s the cheesiest line you’ve heard all night, but considering you’re about to dive into a plate of nachos, it was not the cheesiest thing you encountered yet.

It’s odd that we’ve placed so much emphasis on the zodiac or horoscope sign we were born under, that there can be that much relationship between some made up calendar and the month that our parents just happened to have had a bit too much to drink.
