A teddy bear is a timeless classic. Which are your favorite teddy bears to sleep with?
Web Watch doesn’t know why scientists bother doing all their fancy research to discover how we can get better sleep.
All they have to do is ask pretty much any adult what one thing they do that seems to work every time:
People like to sleep around an awful lot. But in some ways, we’re more the same than ever.
And you’ll never believe what 35% of those surveyed have admitted to sleeping with in their adult years.
Are you happy in your relationship?
If you want to practically guarantee that you do keep a happy relationship between you and your partner, you could do all sorts of things. You could spend more time together, talking. Go for long walks. Take a vacation together.
But even given all that, there’s one thing that you could try that could bring as much as 10% more happiness to your relationship:
Remember when you were young, and your parents kept telling you to take a nap and you didn’t want to?
Now you’re older and all you would love to do is to take a nap at the office, if only for a little bit?
And you’re looking forward to those days in retirement where you can take a nap any darn time you’d like – just because you can?
Are you getting a good night’s sleep?
Maybe it has nothing to do with how much caffeine you’re ingesting after 2pm. Maybe it has nothing to do with eating sweets after dinner. Maybe you don’t have to worry about too much exercise after 6p giving your body too much adreneline.
Maybe it’s something much more basic than all that.
Even the worst hotels in the country offer two things in every hotel room: a bed, and a coffee pot.
Now, that’s not to say that the bed is going to be the cleanest or most comfortable, and the same can be said for the coffee pot’s cleanliness status.
But at least the coffee is typically available in a single-serve package that (one hopes) hasn’t been tampered with.
How many hours of sleep do you need a night?
Some people religiously go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 5am, a good seven hours of sleep every night. They are also likely to have a decent breakfast and workout before heading off to be at the office before everyone else.
These go-getters tend to piss off everyone else around them, don’t they?
How much time do you spend in your bedroom, doing something other than sleeping?
A lot of studies have said that the bedroom shouldn’t be used for anything that’s not sleep-related, as it can slowly coach your body into thinking that it needs to be doing that other activity instead. You know how some people can fall asleep instantly in the car? Their bodies have acclimated themselves to equate “car” and “sleep”. Doing work at home while in bed can lead to the same trouble… but in this case, it would be the inability to sleep.
Everybody dreams while sleeping.
The key is whether you can remember what you’ve dreamt or not. Some dreams are awesome, some are nightmarish – but all reflect some aspect of the subconscious (whether buried deep or not).
And, if you’re like most people, you may find yourself wishing that you could revisit your dream state to finish out the story that was being unraveled while you slept.
Web Watch knows how difficult it can be to stick to a specific diet plan.
It’s the one thing that everyone says that they’re doing (as we’ve mentioned in the past). What’s the old joke? “How can you tell if someone’s a vegan?”
“Don’t worry – THEY’LL tell you.”
This year’s flu season seems to be a bit out of control, so everyone is looking for ways to stay as healthy as possible given the circumstances.
Some people are just working from home for weeks on end while the funk runs through their office co-workers. Others are keeping their kids home from school or daycare for the same reason – which is a shock to everyone that there are people who will actually keep their kids out of school for illness reasons!
There’s the over-reliance on anti-bacterial products, using a tissue-wrapped pen to punch your ATM code into the machine, doing everything one can think of to avoid touching any potentially unclean surface that may be contaminated with another person’s germs.

How do you like to sleep at night?
Are you a light sleeper? Sleep like a log? Toss and turn around a lot?
Web Watch knows one couple who absolutely can’t sleep in the same bed, and purposefully have two twin beds in their master bedroom because each spouse’s sleeping style totally conflicts with the other’s.
Have you been sleeping soundly at night?
Web Watch knows that some people can’t sleep due to work stress, poor health, bad pillow choices, or other reasons that could be reasonably solved through outside means (given enough time, of course – go with the concept here).
However, a study by a sleep specialist at the University of Surrey says that the real problem with people having trouble sleeping is not necessarily any of those outside influences Continue reading WANT BETTER SLEEP? TRY NOT SLEEPING WITH SOMEONE
Web Watch knows a number of people who have no problem encouraging their pets to sleep with them in their beds every night. We’ve even seen our friends cuddle up with their dogs on the family room doggy bed to take a nap. (We’ve seen the same people take a nap on doggy bed without their dog too, so maybe this isn’t such an unusual situation for them.)
But professors at the University of California-Davis school of veterinary medicine say that SLEEPING WITH YOUR PET MAY NOT BE AS GOOD FOR YOU AS YOU MAY THINK. Continue reading SLEEPING WITH YOUR PETS CAN LEAD TO DISEASE
