Do you think you deserve a raise?
We all do, at some point. We think we don’t earn as much as other people in our office, all for doing the same job for less pay.
But really, when it comes down to it – maybe the reason you’re not earning the same as your co-workers has nothing to do with your winning personality.
Maybe it’s something you were born with.
Lefties: The Origins and Consequences of Being Left-Handed
That’s because ACCORDING TO AN ECONOMIST AT HARVARD, people who are left-handed will EARN LESS than their right-handed counterparts.
The study found that generally speaking, left-handed people are less cognitive than right-handed people.
And being less-cognitive means that lefties need more schooling… and that if a left-handed person when to school for one more year – for 13 years instead of the normal 12 years – that would be enough to get a leftie to earn the same as a rightie.
In other words, lefties can find themselves earning about 10-12% less than their right-handed co-workers.
This doesn’t mean that lefties aren’t smart. They just don’t think the same way as others do.
