It may be easy to guess the TOP 5 MOST VALUABLE BRANDS IN THE WORLD, but it gets significantly harder to guess once you go past #17 or so on the list. And you won’t believe who’s at the bottom this year.
According to BRANDZ, who tracks brand value around the world, here are the 2020 MOST VALUABLE BRANDS. Let’s start with the obvious Top Five:
- Amazon
- Apple
- Microsoft
- VISA
It gets more interesting in the teens:
- Home Depot
- SAP
- Moutai
- Louis Vuitton
- UPS
Disney ranks at #22. Web Watch finds it interesting that Disney – one of the world’s most recognized brands – is considered less valuable than Louis Vuitton.
As for the rest of the Top 100 list:
- TikTok shows up as the highest-ranking rookie entry, at #79. That doesn’t mean that TikTok has better brand recognition — well-known brands that ranked lower on the valuation list include KFC, Uber, FedEx, and Adidas.
- Media and Entertainment dominated the ranks of brands on the rise
- Pepsi was surprisingly not on previous years’ lists – and has finally shown up to claim the #99 spot.
- US brands represent more than half of the entries on the list.
