According to online research into dating profiles done by ARE YOU INTERESTED?, there are distinct trends in who is clicking that “Yes, we like” or “No, we don’t” buttons.
- White men were overwhelming preferred by Asian women, Latino women, and white women, while Black men were mostly preferred by Black women
- Asian women were overwhelming preferred by Black men, Latino men, and white men. Asian men tended to prefer Latino women.
- On the dating profiles, Black men were skipped over the most by Asian, Latino, and white women. White men were skipped over the most by Black women.
- Black women were skipped over the most by all profiled races – Asian, Black, Latino, and white.
None of this proves that those relationships will or won’t work. It’s just an indicator of whether interest was shown or not shown in the dating profile. And the data is skewed even further by only indicating only those people who bothered to click a “yes” or “no” link.
