Daughter Breastfeeds Her Own Father

New Idea magazine has an article about an Australian family where THE DAUGHTER BREASTFEEDS HER FATHER.

It may sound a bit unusual, but she has a legitimate reason to do so.

27-year-old Georgia Brown has two mouths to feed:  her own eight-month-old son, and her 67-year-old father, Tim.

While feeding her son is a typical use of breastmilk for an infant – Tim is drinking his daughter’s breastmilk to help him boost his immune system in a fight against colon cancer.

Tim had gone through surgery, but his cancer had continued to spread.  During that time, Georgia saw an American television program which had a story about Howard Cohen, an American who used breastmilk to help him fight his own prostate cancer.

Georgia did some further research, and found multiple studies online supporting the theory of breastmilk helping cancer patients or other ailments, such as warts.  One such study showed that a protein in the breastmilk killed cancer cells in petri dishes and reduced tumor growth in lab animals.

Before you get any funny ideas: Tim doesn’t get his milk fresh from the source, but rather from the refrigerator where Georgia stores her milk.   Howard wasn’t so lucky to have a ready source for his milk – he had to get his from a Milk Bank in San Jose.

He says that he enjoys pouring it over his Corn Flakes.

After a few weeks of the breastmilk treatment, Tim’s doctors noticed an improvement, but were quick to say that they could not equate the improvement solely to his breastmilk consumption.

They didn’t rule it out, either.
