Symantec has released their list of the TOP 100 SEARCH TERMS TEENS USE ONLINE.
This list is from data tracked between February 2009 – July 2009, and comes from registered users of Symantec’s OnlineFamily.Norton, a service that parents can use to restrict or monitor their children’s Internet use when the parents are not available to look over their children’s shoulders.
The top 25 search terms from the list are:

- Sex

- Porn
- Yahoo
- Michael Jackson
- Fred (a popular YouTube video)
- eBay
- You Tube
- YouTube.com
- Gmail
- Wikipedia
- Miley Cyrus

It’s good to know that “Facebook” ranks higher than “Sex” and “Porn” in the top 25 items.
When viewing the full listing, parents may want to make note of the following as well:
- “Boobs” came in at #28.
- “Girls” and “Naked Girls” came in at #81 and #86, respectively. “Disney” was at #85.
- “Naked” was #88, and “Nude” and “Playboy” tied for #89.
- “XXX” was #93.
