So by now, Web Watch hopes that you have taken the time to view the Muppets’ version of Queen’s BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY.

Obviously the highlight of the video for most people is Animal’s part. Web Watch, on the other hand, enjoyed noticing the many lesser-known Muppets that were included in the video, including Mahna Mahna.
We all recognize the character Mahna Mahna and the two pink cow-like Snowths that sang “Mahna Mahna” on The Muppet Show. Mahna Mahna was able to sneak his way into Bohemian Rhapsody and sing the only two words he knew… and somehow it worked in the song. Here he is singing “Mahna Mahna” on The Muppet Show.
But one thing you may not have known is that Mahna Mahna is not the only Muppet to have sung “Mahna Mahna”. Years earlier, the character BIP BIPPADOTTA SANG THE SONG WITH TWO RANDOM GIRL MUPPETS on Sesame Street.
Just watching the two clips side-by-side really shows that the gag itself didn’t change, but the quality of the puppeteering really improved over time. Which might be the real reason why Mahna Mahna got picked to appear in the Bohemian Rhapsody video and not Bip.
While we’re on the subject of fun Muppet videos, remember that Beaker is already an award-winning video star for his version of ODE TO JOY that he did last year.
But do keep in mind that if you try to imitate Beaker in the wrong place or at the wrong time, it could get you in trouble.
