This Decade’s Best Music Video is by the White Stripes (duh!)

LEGO Rock Band (WII)Web Watch has been a huge fan of ANTVILLE’s VIDEO BLOG, which regularly lists some of the newest, greatest, most interesting music videos available online.

This week, Antville has decided to release what they are calling THE 101 TOP MUSIC VIDEOS OF THE DECADE, and with the number one spot being taken by the White Stripes’ FELL IN LOVE WITH A GIRL, Web Watch really can’t say that Antville got it wrong.

But what were the rest of the top ten of the 424 that Antville put up for vote?

  • Jay-Z – 99 Problems
  • Bat For Lashes – What’s A Girl To Do
  • Fatboy Slim – Weapon of Choice
  • The White Stripes – The Hardest Button to Button
  • Chemical Brothers – Star Guitar
  • Justice – Stress
  • The White Stripes – Seven Nation Army
  • Justice – D.A.N.C.E.
  • Björk – Wanderlust

Yes, Kanye’s favorite video of all time made the list, but not even in the top twenty.  OK GO and their treadmills really should have ranked higher than it did, if only for being done in one take for the video, as well as re-enacted live for the MTV Video Music Awards.   Web Watch is glad to see that David Byrne/BPA track TOES made the list.

Looking at the complete listing, it really doesn’t surprise us that the White Stripes and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs are the most commonly-seen bands listed.

Good job, folks.  Keep up the good work.  (Maybe MTV will go back to playing videos again, eh?)
