Look around at what your friends are using for their computers.
They’re all happily typing away on their Macs, bringing their MacBooks to the Starbucks and showing off with their little Apple sticker on the back of their minivan next to the Stick Figure Zombie Family.
Everywhere you look, it’s Apple Apple Apple.
But that’s not really the truth.
Those happy Mac people are really just a smidge in the world of computers. Sure, they might be big in YOUR circle of friends, but in reality, you have a very small circle compared to the rest of the world.
World-wide, MICROSOFT WINDOWS STILL IS COMMANDING 91.53% OF DESKTOP MARKET SHARE.
Mac OS is running about 7.05% of total market, and Linux has a paltry 1.41% of the market (all figures are as of this writing, of course — click the above link for more up-to-date data).
And within the Windows world, Win7 is holding strong at a shade over 53%. There are still some WinXP stalwarts out there (+17%), and Windows 8 users are creeping up and are just reaching over 15% of total market right now.
So as you sit at home and trudge along on your tired , old Windows machine — rest assured that the world is NOT passing you by on Apple World Domination.
You just need to get a better circle of friends.
