The most POPULAR brand in the world is…

Every year, the ACSI (AMERICAN CUSTOMER SATISFACTION INDEX) publishes their list of the most SATISFYING and LEAST satisfying companies out there.

Let’s just say that folks are generally pleased with their food, and not very happy with any product or company that requires any level of CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Let’s take a quick look at the highs and lows of the 2014 CUSTOMER SATISFACTION INDEX listing:

At the TOP of the leaderboard, the TOP TEN MOST SATISFYING BRANDS or COMPANIES ARE:

  1. Heinz
  2. Mercedes
  3. Hershey
  4. Mars (M&M’s)
  5. General Mills
  6. Nestle
  7. Subaru
  8. Quaker
  9. Clorox
  10. Vanity Faire (VF)

Apple, perennially at the top of the list, was just barely edged out of the Top Ten.

At the BOTTOM of the rankings, being the LEAST SATISFYING COMPANIES or BRANDS were:

  1. Time Warner Cable (Internet division)
  2. Time Warner Cable (TV division)
  3. Comcast (Internet division)
  4. Comcast (TV division)
  5. Charter Communications (ISP or Cable not indicated)
  6. United Airlines
  7. Charter Communications (ISP or Cable not indicated)
  8. Cox Communications (TV division)
  9. Cox Communications (ISP division)
  10. AT&T (U-Verse)

What does this mean?

Basically – don’t mess with our TV or Internet service.  And if you’re going to be a TV or Internet provider, you better get your act together.  Google is coming into that arena, and they have a TON of built-up goodwill with consumers.
