Microsoft Computer Mouse

If you’re like Web Watch, you’re constantly using your computer mouse to move that pointer around the screen all day long.  (Actually, if you were like Web Watch, you’d long ago learned those useful keyboard shortcuts to keep you from having to use the mouse at all…but that’s another story for another day.)

Still, have you ever wondered HOW MANY MILES YOUR MOUSE MOVES OVER THE COURSE OF A DAY?  Of course you have. One study even determined that the average computer mouse moves up to a mile in a single week.

And that’s why Web Watch is pointing you to WIN-O-METER, a free program you can run on your computer at startup.  It will track not only how far your mouse moves in a day, but also how many right-clicks and keyboard typing you do in any given timeframe.

I was just wondering how far my mouse has traveled since I bought it. I’ve owned it for about 5 years and use it about 40 hours/week. If it travels a mile/week, that’s about 250 miles or from Washington, D.C. to New York.
