It’s a Sports-oriented Wordle-inspired game: IMMACULATE GRID

How well do you know your baseball (or football) rosters?

Are you good enough to track historical player movements from team to team, along with their individual accomplishments?

If so, then this game may be for you

It’s IMMACULATE GRID, and it’s going to be right up your alley. There are variations for baseball and football, and they play the same way:

All you have to do is fill out a 9×9 grid with the names of players that match the vertical and horizontal axis. Think of those old “magic number” puzzles, where you had to fill out a grid so all rows and columns would add up to the same number — but in this case, you’re using names of players.

For example, you may need to name a player who played for both the New York Yankees and Milwaukee Brewers — fill that name in the box. What about a player that played for the Yankees but also has over 1000 RBIs? Fill in that box too. Eventually, you’ll have all nine boxes filled, and you can call the day’s game complete.

From what Web Watch can tell, these puzzles are for the hard-core sports fan – based on the sports fans we’ve already thrown the puzzle to. We’ll tell you the same thing we’ve told them: “good luck!”
