10 Beers with the Highest Alcohol Content

People are either “beer folks” or “wine folks”.

Web Watch has friends who absolutely refuse to have any wine whatsoever, preferring to only drink beer.  Likewise, we know plenty of grape-heads who turn their noses up at beer.

Taste can be a funny thing, but we do agree that beer and wine flavors are completely different, so it’s understandable that there can be such a rift in opinions for favorite beverage.

So let’s say that you’re going to stick with beer as your drink of choice for the weekend.

You could stick with your 4% Budweiser / Bud Light bottles (3.2% in some states, right?), or you could try something a bit more aggressive.

Plenty of microbrews/craft beers are available in the 6%-9% arena.  Lots of interesting flavors and styles are available here, ranging from IPAs to heavier drafts.

But what if 9% isn’t enough of a beer kick for you?  Would you like to try drinking just one bottle of beer to get a hefty buzz on instead of downing most of a 12-pack?

That’s why Web Watch wants to share with you THIS LIST of the TOP 10 DRUNKIEST BEERS

If you want to just start with the Number One beer on the list, then you’ll want to try HAIR OF THE DOG‘s DAVE beer.  It packs a whallop at 29% alcohol.     Sadly, it’s no longer in active production.  That could be good for you, and your liver.

Even Samual Adams brewery got into the game with UTOPIA, with 24% ABV.  It looks a bit heavier than what Web Watch would like to sip on, so we’re just going to move on down the list.

You’ll find beers from local brewpubs (23%, 22%), some more from Sam Adams (20%), and a few more reasonable options from brewers you’ve heard of down the craft beer aisle (Dogfish Head, circa 15% ABV).

Web Watch recommends starting low and working your way up. You’ll last longer on the journey than if you started right off with the Good Stuff.  And who knows, maybe you’ll find yourself with a new favorite flavor in the more reasonable price range you can afford.
