Web Watch does love to travel, and when we do we try to be the best, most considerate traveler we can be.
It’s not always like that, however.
We often find ourselves trying to be extra-polite to cover for those miscreants we run across who just give tourists a bad name. They’re the ones who really ruin siteseeing for everyone.
Do we really need to have a gum-filled wall in Seattle?
Really? Well, it might be considered “art” there… but it’s certainly not considered “art” when seen in a queue line at the local amusement park, is it?
Nope, there it’s just tacky, tacky. Literally, in some places.
But we digress.
A recent study by LIVING SOCIAL has determined who the WORLD’S WORST TOURISTS are.
Now the survey didn’t disclose what exactly made tourists from these countries the absolute worst, but suffice it to say — you really don’t want to be high up on this particular list.
In descending order, from most to least worst, the “winners” were:
- United States
- China
- France
- Japan
- Russia
- Korea
- India
- Germany
- Spain
- Britain
- Canada
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Ireland
- Switzerland
- Australia
Also on the list were the TOP TEN DREAM DESTINATIONS chosen by Americans. Web Watch doesn’t know why Las Vegas and Disney World were on this list when there are so many more fasinating places around the world to choose from for a “dream vacation”.
And finally, Living Social asked Americans which famous celebrity Twitter user would they most want to travel with. While Web Watch has our own choice here, the survey came back with these results: Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey, Taylor Swift, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Katy Perry.
