We think our favorite part of this horrible, horrible video that showcases the death of BARNEY THE DINOSAUR is watching it muted.
Every Thanksgiving it’s the same thing: you eat as much as you humanly can, take a quick nap, then stuff your pie hole some more with food that wasn’t that good to begin with – let alone after it’s been sitting out and congealed for the past 4 hours.
Every Thanksgiving, families everywhere dread the final part of the meal preparation process: CARVING THE TURKEY.
Why does it have to be so difficult?
It’s not, really. All you have to do is follow these simple steps.
You think you know your Thanksgiving menu? Everyone has turkey and pumpkin pie, and we all know folks who absolutely must have that disgusting green bean casserole.
Have you purchased your Thanksgiving turkey yet?
In case you haven’t, here’s a helpful tip: THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FRESH AND FROZEN TURKEY is negligible. Some people would say that Fresh is always better… but if you’re one of those, you’ll need to keep in mind that a FRESH turkey must be cooked within 2 days of being purchased, according to the USDA’s guidelines on food safety. A frozen turkey make take days to thaw properly (figure about 1 day for every 4-5 pounds) — so if you were to start your frozen turkey thaw now, you should be good to go for the Thanksgiving holiday.
As for those who thought they’d go out and have already purchased their fresh, unfrozen turkey — they may want to be sure to keep that thing on ice for another day or two before beginning the brining process. Don’t want to give your Thanksgiving guests any food poisoning, do you?
Of all of the holidays in a year, Thanksgiving is typically the most stressful.
It’s a holiday where families are forced to be together. Forced to travel in crowded conditions. Forced to eat the same traditional dinner every year. Forced to rush out that night to get in line for those desired Doorbuster purchases.
Web Watch enjoys the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade as much as anyone.
That’s why were were thrilled to receive this year’s press release touting the new lineup that we can expect to see while we’re cooking our annual Thanksgiving dinner. The Macy’s parade always tries to stay topical and fresh with its lineup of floats, balloons, and guest stars – and this year is no exception. Let’s just hope that they update the cue cards that Matt and the rest of the NBC gang are reading from. Put some life into it, folks!
Where else could you get read about Cee Lo Green and the NutMobile in the same article? Even better, did you know that there was a Macy’s Parade Hotline?
