A Disney Dilemma: What will autistic children like Ben Miles do without the Snow White attraction?

Snow White's Scary Adventures
Snow White’s Scary Adventures

SNOW WHITE’S SCARY ADVENTURES is a classic Disney dark ride in Fantasyland, one of the original rides at both Disneyland in California and at Walt Disney World.

Go out and ride the Walt Disney World version of the ride while you can, because it is going the way of Mr Toad’s Wild Ride.  That is, Disney is ripping the ride out to make way for a Disney Princess meet-and-greet.

What?

Web Watch will break this down for you, summing up what other websites have already said:  Walt Disney World is currently in the middle of a long-awaited (and much needed) multi-million dollar expansion of Fantasyland, originally with the following changes:

The Vaccine/Autism Connection: the Jenny McCarthy Body Count

Healing and Preventing Autism
Healing and Preventing Autism

Autism is one of those conditions whose cause has been difficult to find.

Some parents of autistic children and other autism advocates — as many as one in four parents — have said that CHILDREN’S VACCINES CAUSE AUTISM.  Since that original 1998 report proposing that there was a link between vaccination shots and autism came out, further studies since then have SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN THAT NO SUCH LINK EXISTS.

Why Lefties Survive in a Right-Handed World

National Geographic has an article with a theory about lefties-vs-righties, entitled LEFTIES SURVIVE (BARELY) DUE TO ELEMENT OF SURPRISE?

Left-handed people have disadvantages.  Over the years, lefties are more apt to suffer from schizophrenia, epilepsy, autism, or have learning disabilities.  They are more likely to have a serious accident, as most of the world is designed around righties.  Male lefties are also shorter, on average.

However, scientists have determined that lefties carry with them the ability to throw the other 90% of the world off their guard.  This is why left-handed people are often more successful in sports competition versus the more common right-handed folks.  Baseball pitchers, batters, tennis players, boxers – the left-handed ones are often prized and in high-demand.

They also say that left-handed men earn more than right-handed men, on average.  Lefties also have better coordination, and often have IQs higher than 131.
