  • Turkey (of course).  And eaten with the skin
  • Mashed potatoes
  • Dressing, lots of bread
  • Rolls, even more bread
  • Sweet potatoes.  With or without marshmallows
  • Pie.  Lots of pie.
  • Don’t forget the gravy

And that’s all just the appetizer course.  Remember all the cheese, shrimp, crackers, beef stick, and other snacks you also ate during the game?

Whenever you visit your doctor, they’ll invariably say the same thing – “you need to lose some weight”.

It doesn’t matter how much over your percentile weight class you are, it’s as if doctors are pre-programmed to say this to every one of their patients, no matter how seemingly healthy they are.

Sure, Web Watch was told by our physician once — once, we’ll stress — that we needed to put a few pounds on to maintain a healthy equilibrium, but this was truly an exception rather than a rule.

With Halloween right around the corner, we’re at the start of the annual Winter Get Fat season (comprised of Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, Super Bowl, Valentine’s Day — combined with all those weekly college and pro sports that require copious amounts of beer and wings every week).

So it should come as no surprise that fitness companies are already figuring out what they need to do in order to help us stay fit and healthy — or at the very least, get us back on the healthy road for the rest of the year come January 1st.
