As you grow older and think about the different places you could possibly move to, a few options regularly come up – Florida? Arizona? Tennessee?
The primary focus tends to be on taxes, and how big of a hit your retirement nest egg could take every year if you choose the wrong state to retire in.
But is that the only criteria you should use when choosing a place to live? Probably not.

Do you deserve it? Do you think you have everything you need to show why you have earned being paid more money? How valuable are you contributions? How valuable are you as an individual to the organization?
We’ve always believed that if you aren’t having fun at work, you either need to find a new place to work or a new position at that company. We spend too much time at the job with These People, that if you’re not enjoying the experience you need to move on.
If not, you’ll just keep hating that job, those people, your bosses, the clients, etc. You’ll be in a death spiral of misery until you figure out a way to get out of that rut.
