The secret to the ultimate workout playlist

They say that music is life.  Life without music would be completely miserable and not worth living.

And they also say that for a long life, you have to exercise a bit more than you already lie about doing to your doctor.  You know, like actually getting out there and sweating it out.

Where to get free, live music online

You can’t deny that Apple’s iPod had a defining effect on the technology and music industries.

Web Watch had been using other MP3 players for years before Apple came to the portable music party, but it was Apple’s ease of getting the music through the iTunes Store that solidified Apple’s place in history.

But there is some music that isn’t available in the iTunes Store, or Amazon’s Music Store, or Google Play.  And that can be frustrating to fans who are really looking to complete their collection of music from their favorite artists.

Looking for a Prom theme for this year? Try one of these…

It’s getting to be that time of year again, when young love turns to thoughts of spending Mom & Dad’s money on outrageous limo fees, overpriced dinners in linen tablecloth restaurants, ill-fitting tuxedos, dresses with WAY too little fabric, and a hotel room for the “after party” (if you know what we mean).

Yes, it’s prom season.

And it can be costly — last year, VISA REPORTED that the average prom family was spending upwards of $1,078 each for their kids to have the night of their young, impressionable lives.

And for the rest of us who have the joy of watching the restaurants around us get booked for weekend-upon weekend by loud — and occasionally first-time-drunk — teenagers, the biggest question we want to know the answer to is WHAT’S THE PROM THEME THIS YEAR?

Video Fun: Butt Bongos

Making music is supposed to be joyful.  At least for the artist performing the piece.

One would hope that all involved in the production enjoy themselves equally, from the roadie to the sound guy to the guitar tech on up the line.

Until you run across something that’s just a little, well… off the beaten path.  One of those times when you have to wonder if everyone got paid their fair share for their participation in the project.

Video Fun: Garfunkel and Oates (they really love Jesus)

Perhaps you’ve already have heard the sweet comedic songwriting stylings of GARFUNKLE AND OATES.

Garfunkle and Oates is a duo, consisting of Kate Micucci, who you may recall played the ukelele as Gooch on the TV show SCRUBS; and Riki Lindhome who has appeared on BIG BANG THEORY and a number of other TV shows and movies.  Together as Garfunkle and Oates, they are likely best know for their classic hit PREGNANT WOMEN ARE SMUG:

Did that leave you wondering where else could such talent go? Well worry no more, as Web Watch is here with a fuller list of delightful tunes for you to enjoy:

Can you name the Most Overplayed Song of All Time?

Despite what the “experts” say about Pandora, Spotify, or even iPod users — it’s said that the best radio station in the world still only plays a small selection of songs that their listeners want to hear.

Why?

Because as soon as the station plays a song that the listener doesn’t care for, they change the station immediately.

Don’t believe us?  Then why does Pandora have a “thumbs down” button?  It’s not because Pandora cares about the listener’s feedback – it’s because Pandora uses that as a way to “change the station” as soon as a song comes on that the listener doesn’t want to hear.

It serves the exact same purpose, but keeps the listener tuned into Pandora.  Pandora is just another radio station in that regard, if you really think about it.
