Flights From Hell

FLIGHTS FROM HELL is one of those websites that you know has always existed as whispered conversations overheard in the airline club rooms, and exposed a little bit at a time on TV shows such as A&E’s AIRLINE.

We learn that plane travel is not necessarily as glamorous as it once was, and depending on the flight you’re taking (Orlando destinations tend to be filled with screaming kiddies in both directions), or the airline you’re flying on (Southwest appears to be a leader, if only based on what they’ve shown on that TV show), we all can say that at one time or other, we’ve all been on a FLIGHT FROM HELL.

Giant Gift Bows for Cars

You’ve seen those giant gift bow ribbons on the cars in those fancy car commercials, right?  I know that Lexus makes those giant red bows available for a rental/damage fee when you buy a car from them (which makes sense, considering that they make a big deal about giving a Lexus as a gift to your loved one).

But if you don’t want to rent a bow from a dealer and would prefer to have one for every day giant bow use, you can always order a giant bow from CAR BOWS or KING SIZED BOWS

Prices range from $30-$100 and more, depending on the size of the bow you need and other factors.  But at least you own the bow, so you can use it for any other gift you’re planning on giving that requires a big giant bow.

How to Improve Your Scrabble Play

All you need to do is learn some new 2- and 3-letter words.

In what appears to be a bad case of timing from their reporters, The Wall Street Journal finally reported this week of a dramatic change in the world of Scrabble that took place in October 2005:

THE ADDITION OF NEW WORDS TO THE SCRABBLE DICTIONARY

Words such as “ZA”, “QI”, and “ZZZ” were added recently, according to the WSJ.  Apparently, “recently” means “in the past 4-5 years” to them.

Regardless, here at Web Watch we believe in making sure that you are not sucked into the same vortex of bad Scrabble-playing that the WSJ would lead you down if you had to wait a few years to discover that there had been a Scrabble dictionary update.  So here are the list of handy two- and three- letter words that you should have at the ready the next time you need to impress your Scrabble-playing friends…along with the unexpected WSJ followup:

List of Facebook Statistics

A few days ago in talking about how Disney is handling their new D23 community with regards to how large companies deal with fan clubs, Web Watch mentioned that Coca-Cola was the #2 most popular fan page on Facebook behind Barack Obama.

Since then, some have asked what the rest of that breakdown was.  So here is a LIST OF FACEBOOK PAGE STATISTICS.

Rules of the Internet

In case you were wondering, THE INTERNET DOES HAVE RULES

Sure, some would say that the Internet should be like the wild west of old, with the whooping and the hollering, the rustling and the stampeding… but all that is so 1998.

Still, there are a few Internet rules that should be shared and noted. One in particular, as it was brought up by someone after looking at the Lightning McQueen autopsy from yesterday.  Yes, that is Rule #34.  We’ll get to that in a moment.
