First rule of Swingers Club? Don’t talk about Swingers Club.

If you live in a typical, normal suburban neighborhood, you may want to take a look around you once in a while.

Things going on in the next house may not exactly be what they appear to be.

In other words, the infamousKEY PARTIESof the 1950’s and 1960’s is making a significant comeback in neighborhood swinging circles.

Apparently, 2008 was the “Year of the Potato”

Web Watch must have been busy back in 2008, as we totally missed that 2008 was the YEAR OF THE POTATO.

Funny thing about websites dedicated to a singular year’s event: those sites never really get updated.  Yet they persist forever with slightly outdated information on them, just waiting for someone to stumble upon them and gaze upon their glory.

7 Most Germ-Filled Public Surfaces You Should Avoid Touching

This year’s cold and flu season is said to be one of the worst ones in recent memory; that even with this year’s flu shot, you may still get sick with an unexpected variant that wasn’t identified early enough to make it into the vaccine.

Web Watch knows someone who – twice a day, like clockwork – wipes down their desk at work with antibacterial wipes.  Some would say that is taking being a germaphobe a bit too far. Web Watch says that they’re just being careful with their working environment.

It’s not like the old days, where parents would purposefully encourage their kids to play with other kids’ toys without first spraying them down with disinfectent – all with the goal of building and reinforcing their child’s immune system.

What would Batman eat?

One thing about Superheroes – with all that spandex, certain body issues come into play.

Spiderman? Definitely.

Superman?  For sure.

The Hulk? Not so much.

But Batman – he has more issues than a subscription to LIFE magazine.

Are you a parent of a small child or toddler?

As quite a few of Web Watch’s parental friends have found out, you aren’t a parent until you experience your child pooping during bathtime.

It happens, they say. Perfectly normal.

Hospital infections kill someone every six minutes

The CDC claims that 1.7 million people become infected while at a hospital, but according to RID: The Committee to Reduce Infection Deaths, the actual number of infections at hospitals each year is much, much higher.

On average, a patient DIES AT A HOSPITAL due to a hospital-related infection every six minutes.  RID says it’s at least 103,000 (preventable?) deaths a year, causing up to $30 billion in hospital costs.

It’s the fourth leading cause of death, with heart disease, cancer, and strokes taking the top three spots.

Are your children fat? Blame all that soda you’re feeding them

Have you seen the reports from all the elementary and middle schools that are removing soda machines from their hallways?

Those communities are fed up with the amount of junk food that kids today are consuming, and they figure that if they can remove the soda machines from the classroom – that will automatically start making kids healthier.

In some regard, it ends up that those communities may be right after all.
