Baby names to avoid if you don’t want your child to grow up to be a stripper

Stripper names are interesting, aren’t they?

You can only imagine that there exists a Xerox sheet in the back of the bar that all new strippers go through, crossing off names as they become unavailable.

How unique is your name? (Chances are, you’re just one in 546)

How unique is your name?

Sure, you may have replaced a “y” with an “i” (let alone decided that dotting the i with a smiley face would be “your thing”).  Your parents may have given you a unique spelling of a typical name, in order to differentiate you as being “special” when you finally go off to school… much to the chagrin of those confused teachers, or the future ability for your child to every find a personalized license plate at SOUTH OF THE BORDER souvenir shop.

Have you seen the reports from all the elementary and middle schools that are removing soda machines from their hallways?

Those communities are fed up with the amount of junk food that kids today are consuming, and they figure that if they can remove the soda machines from the classroom – that will automatically start making kids healthier.

In some regard, it ends up that those communities may be right after all.

How much money does the tooth fairy bring?

Parents: how much money do you leave under your child’s pillow when they lose a tooth?

Web Watch recalls that $0.50 was the norm for every tooth we lost, but we’ve heard more recent reports that the dollar value for a tooth has gone much higher today.

Before we get to the topic on hand, here’s another parent question:  what do you do with all those teeth?  Do you keep them? Toss them away?  Make a creepy “tooth necklace” out of them?  Be sure to tell us your family tooth traditions in the comments below.
