Maybe Web Watch should ask the question a different way: does your job make you happy? Are you happy to GO to work?
Or are you happy to have any job at all, regardless of what it is?

If you live in a typical, normal suburban neighborhood, you may want to take a look around you once in a while.
Things going on in the next house may not exactly be what they appear to be.
In other words, the infamousKEY PARTIESof the 1950’s and 1960’s is making a significant comeback in neighborhood swinging circles.
Some people love the job they have, and would never leave it for anything.
Others will work a job for as long as they have to until something they perceive is better comes along.
Web Watch knows one person who quit their job, just because. Didn’t have a go-to position, but just didn’t like what they were doing and then decided to try to “find themselves”. They ended up taking a non-professional job just to get their foot in the door of an industry that interested them, and then quit that one a few weeks later. For these types of people, a job is not a lifelong dream of a career built on love, but just as a means for bringing in some money to survive until the end of the week.
The CDC says that the number one method you have at your disposal to prevent getting the flu this season is to wash your hands on a regular basis.
But apparently, Americans just don’t like to listen to common sense.
You’re a new parent.
You want to give your child an advantage in life by ensuring that they have a unique name. You want them to stand out from the masses a bit, no “Tom”, “Dick”, or “Harry” here for you.
But with every other enterprising parent also figuring out that they want the same thing for THEIR child, what are you to do?
With HASBRO’S RECENT NEWS about how they’re asking for Monopoly fans to choose which game piece / token that they want to add to the classic board game (Web Watch is hoping for the Toy Robot, ourselves) – they really are ignoring the bigger question about the Monopoly board game.
No, it isn’t “why don’t people actually like playing it as they get older?” Frankly, Web Watch would love to have a Monopoly game night on occasion, if only we could find other similarly minded folks to join us.
Everybody has a career line item that you’ve considered leaving off your resume for various reasons.
For some, it’s because you don’t want to acknowledge ever having worked at that company. For others, it’s because the job was so horrible that you didn’t even make it an entire year.
Maybe you were asked to leave, as a mutually beneficial decision. Maybe you just left your ID badge on your desk, walked out without a word to anyone, and quietly slipped out while nobody was watching.
Regardless of your reasons for hating your job, you should rest happy knowing one thing:

Yes, we feel sorry for you, Ned Obody at the DMV. Too bad you’re stuck with the email address of nobody@thedmv.goov as your email address. (Note for anyone attempting to reach Mr Ned — Web Watch made that email address up, so the chances of it actually working are slim to none.)
