Researchers have determined that WOMEN ARE MOST HAPPY WITH THEIR LOVE LIFE AND BODY IMAGE AT 28 years of age, all based on a study by Clairol Perfect 10, which surveyed 4,000 women.

The researchers concluded that once women hit 30, they start to worry about their grey hair and wrinkles.

Ugly Babies and the Parents Who Love Them…or not

A new study published in the Public Library of Science by McLean Hospital and Harvard Medical School entitled GENDER DIFFERENCES IN THE MOTIVATIONAL PROCESSING OF BABIES ARE DETERMINED BY THEIR FACIAL ATTRACTIVENESS concludes what all new mothers are afraid to hear:  that AN UGLY BABY IS HARDER TO LOVE.

The study set out to clarify an Israeli study that showed 70% of abused or abandoned children had some sort of visible flaw – but no other health or learning issues by determining “why”.

The 25 Most Dangerous US Neighborhoods

How safe is the city you live in?

What about your neighborhood?

Every city has “the good parts of town” and “the bad parts of town”.  The question is how to determine which side of that line your neighborhood falls on. 

That’s where NEIGHBORHOOD SCOUT comes into the picture.  They’ve analyzed crime statistics and FBI data from 17,000 local law enforcement agencies and have used computer models to calculate a “danger rating” for every zip code.  This rating predicts the number of violent crimes in the neighborhood per 1,000 residents.

It’s True – Men Love Food More Than Sex

Leave it to those crazy Australians to prove, via a scientific study, that MEN LOVE FOOD MORE THAN SEX.

The survey of 10,000 people was conducted by Magnum ice cream, and asked Australians to rank everyday experiences as part of a “pleasure quotient test”, which asked the participants to rank items based on the frequency and intensity to which the individuals felt a pleasurable trigger.   (What does that mean?  Just ask UniSA adjunct senior lecturer of psychology Dr David Haynes.  He’ll explain it in detail if you need to know.)

Want Good Grades? Try Breastfeeding…

Were you one of those kids who got good grades in school, or were you always picked last for the class spelling bee team?

Web Watch has found a new study from the Journal of Human Capital that did a comparison of students’ grades based on whether the student was breastfed or not.

The two professors, Joseph Sabia from the American University and University of Colorado Denver professor Daniel Rees, studied information from the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent Health to DETERMINE THE EFFECTS THAT BREASTFEEDING AN INFANT HAS ON THEIR LATER SCHOOL CAREER.
