Are your children fat? Blame all that soda you’re feeding them

Have you seen the reports from all the elementary and middle schools that are removing soda machines from their hallways?

Those communities are fed up with the amount of junk food that kids today are consuming, and they figure that if they can remove the soda machines from the classroom – that will automatically start making kids healthier.

In some regard, it ends up that those communities may be right after all.

You are the egg-man. Goo goo ga choo

Is there anything better than a well-cooked egg?

Eggs are the one dish that everybody has a favorite version of.  Some people prefer the basic scrambled egg, while for others, the perfect sunny-side up egg is perfection.

One question that eludes Web Watch is who was the first person to see a chicken lay an egg, who then decided that THAT would be something that we should try to eat.  And the second person, who decided that the first person’s idea of eating an egg raw was uncivilized.

Which fast-food burger tastes the best?

Web Watch loves a good burger.

When done right, it’s phenomenal.  When done poorly, it’s still pretty good.  Of course, we make our own decision as to where we’re going to get that burger, and go into the establishment generally knowing what we’re going to get.

There’s a difference between a McDonald’s Dollar Menu double-cheeseburger and a burger from the Burger Gourmet Bar sit-down restaurant with the $21 Kobe beef slider down the street.  You get what you pay for, and as long as you’re okay with that, then the following won’t surprise you.

10 Toxic products you should avoid

Do you read product labels when you’re making household purchases?  Web Watch does try to avoid buying food that contains high fructose corn syrup or has “sugar” listed on the label — but we’re a creature of habit, and Pop Tarts taste so darn good.

But we don’t really take the time to read all those other funky labels and warnings that seem to be applied to practically everything we get nowadays.  Do we care that something was made in a plant that also processes “soy”, “nuts”, and “dairy products”?  Eh.  Not so much… but we know some folks who do care, so we’re not going to make fun of them for this.

It’s the world’s first Potty Training Restaurant!

Kimberly Decker from Utah is fast with her camera phone.

She was having a nice, leisurely meal with her family when she noticed another customer at the Thanksgiving Point Deli do something a bit more unusual than merely pull up a high chair for their child to sit in to eat.

Want kids to eat more fruits and vegetables? It’s all about cartoon marketing

Look, we all know that kids today are a little on the plump side.

They don’t like to exercise, they don’t like to eat anything but fast food.

Blame it on MTV, video games, and Ronald McDonald.

But there’s a reason for it – and it may have something to do with the same reason that Sugar Smacks had to be changed to just Smacks on the cereal aisle.

How to make the English Garden cocktail martini, a recipe inspired by Gordon Ramsay Steak

Web Watch was in Las Vegas recently, where we had the pleasure of dining at GORDON RAMSAY STEAK at the Paris Las Vegas casino.

Needless to say, famed celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay wasn’t there that night, but we’ll just offer a quick review of the place: in one word, “fantastic”.

Of course, it didn’t help that having Chef Ramsay’s name on the marquee led to a constant parade of tacky tourists with their camera phones, t-shirts, and flip-flops barging into the main dining area to take a photo or two of a place that they’re not spending a nickle in.  It was a bit disruptive to those of us with our own camera phones who were diving in to our own 2-hour dining spectactular.

But regardless of the lack of control the hosting staff had in preventing the riff-raff from interfering with our fine dining, Web Watch highly recommends Gordon Ramsay Steak for your next Las Vegas dining experience.

What?  You’re not planning on heading out to Vegas anytime soon?  Well – let Web Watch bring you a little bit of Gordon Ramsay to your kitchen…

How to explode a watermelon

Have you ever wanted to go completely Gallagher on somebody, and just slam a watermelon with a sledgehammer to see how it feels?

Maybe you just don’t have a sledgehammer handy, and maybe you want to make it more interesting and interactive for all involved parties.

Here’s how Web Watch will help you EXPLODE A WATERMELON, using common office supplies — and hopefully, have you win a bar bet or two.
