How to tell if you’re raising a spoiled brat? It’s all about where you live

How much do you spend on your child at Christmas or for their birthday?

Are you one of those parents that believe that their child is extra-special and deserves to be given everything they ever could possibly ask for?

Or are you a parent whose philosophy is more along the lines of being sure to offer your children a choice, such as “would you like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich… or a spanking?”  You know, because letting children make their own decisions is so important in encouraging a child’s self-worth and well-being.

How to make the Ultimate Road Trip Mixtape

Web Watch is certain we’ve written aboutHOW TO MAKE THE ULTIMATE ROADTRIP MIXTAPEpreviously, but needless to say, if it’s our archive of thousands of links we’ve covered over the years, that posting is sadly lost.  (If it ever turns up, we’ll be sure to link it from here – you know, just for closure.)

Besides, if true, it wouldn’t be the first time we’ve written about a particular website more than once in the annals of Web Watch history.

Steakhouse or Gay Bar?

You’ve driven down the road and seen the signs for a new restaurant or bar in your town.  Sometimes, have you ever wondered – based solely on the name itself – what type of restaurant it was?

Sure, we’re all familiar with Hooters, and for the most part the name conjures up what one would expect to see inside.

Similarly for Longhorn Steakhouse or Tony Roma’s Ribs – you know what those establishments are going to be about before you even step foot in the door.

Video Fun: Where in the World is Matt 2012

Web Watch has mentioned Matt Harding before – he’s the guy who struck upon the absolutely perfect “job”, if you want to call it that, of traveling around the world and dancing.

And not just good dancing.

We’re talking really bad dancing.

And he’s been able to turn this hobby into a paying career of travel, music, Internet viral videos, and just bringing a little bit of joy and happiness to everyone he meets.

It’s a world-trotting flash mob.

Are you smart? Maybe it all depends on where you live…

Do you consider yourself a smart person?

If you’re reading this (or anything on the Internet), one would assume that the answer is “yes”. Only smart people bother to use the Internet — and only the smartest of the smart will read Web Watch.

So “hi!” to all of our smart readers out there.

But seriously, studiest have shown that sometimes what your intelligence level is can be dictated by the environment you surround yourself with.  In other words – generally speaking – if you hang out with smart people (or dumb people), then you will eventually become smarter (or dumber) through association.

At the very least, just to keep up with those you hang out with.

But a new study proves this even better…

What sandwich best defines your state?

Everybody loves a good sandwich.

Just take two pieces of bread and slap some meat and a few condiments inside, and hoo-boy, you just know that’s good eatin’.

And as you travel around the country like Web Watch has, you’ll know that everywhere has a regional specialty that just defines it perfectly.

We recall one trip we took to Dallas where we found ourselves at a small cafeteria looking for lunch.  On the menu, it said “steak sandwich”, which we thought sounded delightful.

To our chagrin, we received the local favorite “chicken-fried steak” sandwich, which is definitely not what we were expecting or had in mind.

Video Fun: How to sneak alcohol onto a cruise ship

It’s a game played everywhere around the world:

Tourists find ways to sneak alcohol onto cruise ships, and cruise ships do everything they can to prevent their guests from doing so.

Web Watch has seen cases of beer and liquor be confiscated time and time again when unsuspecting passengers attempt to circumvent the ship’s rules about bringing contraband onboard.

We completely understand, and would never dream of trying to sneak any excess liquor onto our next cruise vacation by replacing the shampoo in a bottle with Kahlua.

That’s just nasty.

How hard is it to learn Spanish?

How hard is it to learn Spanish?

When you look at the scale of all languages around the world, learning Spanish is about as difficult as learning French, Italian, or Portuguese.

Surprisingly, a few other languages were also considered at the same level — Afrikaans, Norwegian, Swedish, and Dutch included.
