Going Bald? Cover it up with a Head Tattoo!

You’ve tried Rogaine and all those other hair-growth products, but let’s face it – your head is still bald, bald, bald.  Bald as a ping-pong ball.

Maybe you have the monk look going, with an ever-expanding crown poking out of the middle of your skill.

Or maybe you shave your head everyday to keep the receeding hairline at bay, but you’ve decided that you just don’t have a good looking bald head.  Hey, it happens.

So what do you do?

Disney: Official Unofficial Rules for Beers Around The World at Epcot

Mr Beer PremiumA few friends of mine think that Epcot is the best thing at Walt Disney World.  There are quite a few people who agree with that belief, such as the folks at EPCOT CENTRAL, all for their own reasons.  I can’t say that I disagree with them, as Epcot can be underrated by park visitors.  Ask any person who dislikes Epcot and they often say the same things:

  • “There’s nothing to do there.”
  • “It’s boring.”
  • “Why do I have to walk so far?”

Epcot is an immersive environment, with surprises and treats around every corner, if you would only bother to look.  But that’s a different topic for a different day.

For those Epcot naysayers out there – I say that if you don’t like where you are, sometimes it’s because you aren’t creative enough to make your own fun.

Today, I will provide you with something to do after you have seen all that Epcot has to offer – courtesy in part from my creative Epcot-loving friends, and in part by today’s website, DRINK AROUND THE WORLD.

Come Jump On The Bed With Me

The best thing about checking into some of the newer, higher-end hotels is that they really are promoting their “high-thread count linens” or “superior mattresses” (which some hotels will even sell to you at the end of your stay, if you absolutely loved your mattress so much that you just had to take it home with you).

The Radisson chain, for example, is promoting that they have the SLEEPNUMBER bed.  The last time I stayed at a Radisson, I didn’t find the SleepNumber Bed that remarkable, especially since the maid had lodged the controller between the bedframe and the headboard amongst all the evil hotel room dustbunnies that never seem to get vacuumed up.

Ew.

Perhaps if I had tried the bed at the SleepNumber store at the mall, like everyone else does, I would have had a better night’s sleep.

Fancy Fast Food

Eating at a fast food restaurant is not the most exhilirating experience.

Plastic forks and spoons (unless you’re lucky enough to get a spork), paper-lined plastic trays that have just barely been cleaned – if you count being wiped down by the dirty soap rag that also wipes down the fry machine as being cleaned, and harsh flourescent lighting that makes the drippy pasteurized processed cheese spread substitute look so appealing.

Visiting Every Starbucks in the World

Winter is trying to VISIT EVERY STARBUCKS IN THE WORLD.

His most recent journey started at the end of May 2009, and he hopes to add to his total of over 9,000 visited Starbucks stores (out of a possible 16,000+) by the end of his eight-month trip.

The biggest obstacle at hand?  Starbucks’ recent announcement to close 200 more stores that included some locations that Winter hadn’t visited yet.

Extending Invisibles into Porn and Internet Memes

You know that part of the DVD party game, SCENE IT, where they show a scene from a film but all the actors have been digitally removed from the scene as if they were an invisible man?   The concept is called INVISIBLES and was first seen online on the FILM WISE website many years ago.  Film Wise has over 400 Invisibles quizzes on their site, so it certainly will fill up your day as you try to figure some of those out.

Parents’ Guide to the Movies, Video Games, and More

These days, parents have a hard time keeping track of what is good for their kids, or what their kids should avoid – if only due to the sheer amount of content that parents need to stay up with.

Did any of the parents who brought their young kids to a free concert in Central Park last week know what to expect when Green Day took the stage?  The concert was sponsored by ABC’s Good Morning America and Walgreen’s, so nothing offensive was going to happen, right?

Watching that clip, you can see the parents with their kids happily singing along to every curse word used in the song.  But I’m sure there were some families in the crowd that did not expect a TV morning show concert to contain profanity.
