Do you know how to dress yourself? Chances are, not so much

The Modern Man (or Modern Woman) has a lot of rules to learn along their travels in life.

What’s that old saying, “clothes make the man”?  As you know, there’s a lot of truth in this.  Especially in today’s workplace where there is so much question about what BUSINESS CASUAL means, and whether FLIP-FLOPS ARE APPROPRIATE FOR THE OFFICE or not.  (Hint: they’re not)

What is the most annoying office behavior?

We’ve all worked in an office where there’s at least one person who just gets under your skin.

Maybe you just have a personality conflict, or maybe you hate covering for them because they just aren’t carrying their weight.  One person that Web Watch worked with in the past needed their manager to provide some much-needed personal hygiene advice.  How would YOU like to be the one to initiate that conversation?

It’s not the easiest thing to say to someone, that they need to take a shower or wash their clothes as it’s disturbing the office environment.  But it happens, and we’ll bet it happens more often than we’re led to believe.

How much money do sign twirlers make?

You see them everywhere you go as you drive through your local suburbs, cruising by the strip mall shopping center:

The sign twirler, sign spinner, human directional sign, sign waver, sign flipper, living sign, or a casual sign holder on a stick .  And you always do the same thing as you drive by:  “hey, look at that idiot with the sign!”

Today’s Challenge: Survive on Minimum Wage for One Month

How long has it been since you were in college?

Remember how awesome it was to just head out to the university cafeteria and eat everything you wanted, just because you could?  Hey – it was like an unlimited Las Vegas buffet, but without the cover charge.  Unlimited pizza. Unlimited ice cream. Unlimited single-patty burgers (double-patty burgers only allowed on your first trip through the grill line).

Yeah, there’s a reason it’s called the Freshman 15, and it has nothing to do with the free beer you’re sucking down on weekends, either.

Who does all the work?

Hopefully, you’ve been on the Internet long enough for someone (likely, a parent) to have forwarded to you the following old meme about how tired you are from being overworked:

Yes, I’m tired.

For several years I’ve been blaming it on getting older, lack of sleep, weekend projects, stale office air, poor nutrition, carrying a couple of extra pounds, raising a family, recent ailments, and a dozen other reasons that make you wonder why life is getting tough.

But now I found out what’s really happening! I’m tired because I’m overworked.

The population of the USA reached 300 million last October.

79 million of the population are retired. That leaves 221 million to do the work.

There are 19 million toddlers and 76 million students in schools, which leaves 126 million to do the work.

Of that total, 21 million are unemployed leaving 105 million to do the work.

Then you take away 34 million in hospitals and that leaves 71 million to do the work.

43 million are in prisons and that’s 28 million left to do the work.

Now take away 14,683,468 federal, 5,344,722 state and 5,370,743 city workers who run our government and you’re left with 2,601,067 to do the work.

Take away the 2,601,065 people in the armed forces and that leaves just two people to do the work, you and me.

And you’re just sitting there reading this!

No wonder I’m tired!!!
