Most Iconic Brands across the US

Whenever Web Watch travels around the country, we always try to “go local” whenever possible.  We can eat at an Applebee’s or a McDonald’s almost anywhere… but we’ll go out of our way to chow down at an IN-N-OUT BURGER or grab a beer at the WYNKOOP BREWERY because, well, we can’t get that stuff locally.

Well, we could if we put some effort into the project, but you know what we mean.  When you travel, you want to be like a native.  If that means drinking sweet tea while in the South, or grabbing some BBQ in Texas, having a lobster roll in Maine — well, by golly, that’s what we’re going to do.

Video Fun: Singing at the Fast Food Drive Thru

It’s a tired comedian point of view: nobody can ever understand the fast-food worker at the other end of the drive thru order speaker.

The order comes back mumbled, they never get anything right when you order at the drive thru. You’re always stuck behind the mom with the 14 different orders for each member of the baseball team in her minivan (along with 14 different payments for each one).

Yup, the drive thru can be a real blah.

The definitive guide to The Sopranos final episode (“Did Tony Die?”)

THE SOPRANOS was, as everyone who’s seen the show has said, a milestone in television history.  There are very few television series that can get that amount of water cooler talk going these days, although some have tried (*cough* The Red Wedding *cough*).

But with The Sopranos, it really did hit its peak with the final episode, which is widely considered THE BEST FINAL TV EPISODE EVER, even though Entertainment Weekly said it was only worth the #10 spot on their list.  Go figure.

What your logo color REALLY means

As Web Watch drives around Suburbia, we can’t help but notice that in strip mall after strip mall, all the signage for the retail stores are almost always the same color: red.

There should be a community ordinance about it, but everywhere we look we see red signage.

And while we understand why this may be the case — easier to see in all light and weather conditions – we got to wondering whether a red sign was really the best choice for all business types.

Video Fun: Horse Carriage Music Videos in New Orleans

Bands are always trying to figure out what the “next big thing” can be in making their music videos more interesting and engaging with their fans.

You could do the same thing (concert video) that everyone else does, or you could work outside of your comfort zone and do something a bit different — both in film style as well as music style.  Why lipsync when you can play live in a unique venue?

The three worst hair styles ever made

People spend a lot of time and effort (and a little bit of money) on their hair.

Coloring, straightening, making brighter and shinier.  Waxing, shaving, adding extensions.  Figuring out how to stop losing it.

For many people (Jennifer Anniston?), hair is what defines who your are as a person.  Would Jennifer be less popular today if she didn’t inspire her own personalized hairstyle from being on FRIENDS?

10 Most Annoying Beach / Sunbathing Activities

What do you like to do when you go to the beach on vacation?

Are you a total sunbather, just hanging out on your lounge and never going into the water?  Or are you a more active person, playing volleyball, surfing, digging sand castles?

Different people like to do different things while at the beach – but everyone needs to remember that the beach is a shared experience, and you don’t want to do anything to be THAT guy (or THAT girl) while hanging out on a beautiful day.
