Steve Martin said it many years ago in his book of essays, Cruel Shoes.
Women love shoes. Even shoes that are so awful that they mangle their feet.

When was the last time you shopped at The Shack?
You know, RADIO SHACK? That tiny electronics store at the mall with all the battery-operated toys in the front and the cool electronics gear and assorted cabling in the back?
Time was, RadioShack was the place you would go to get your electronics fix — and when you’re working on some audio/video project at home (like connecting your stereo), Radio Shack was the place you’d go to first.
Because those guys behind the counter would know everything about everything that had to do with home-appropriate electronics.

Tom Locke had a vision a few years ago.
He went and bought himself a roll of 100 stamps, costing him $39.
Then Tom said to himself, “why spend $39 on a roll of stamps if I’m not really going to get anything for it?” He likened this purchase to walking into a casino and spending $39 on a slot machine or blackjack table. Where’s the cost-benefit of spending that much money on stamps?

Do you hate waiting in line at the grocery store, waiting to check-out and head back home with your cart full of groceries?
Are you easily aggravated by the idiot in front of you who decides to use the self-scan machines to meticulously and slowly scan and bag their cart that’s full of 100+ items, when all you need to do is buy that half-gallon of ice cream and six-pack of beer before heading on your merry way? (Seriously – there should be a time limit on the self-scan machines: if you can’t scan your cart, pay, and get out of the way in less than 3 minutes, you need to be escorted directly to the end of the full-service line and clear the path for those of us who know what we’re doing.)

How often do you wash your jeans?
Well, if you’re college student Josh Le, the answer is that you TRY TO WEAR YOUR JEANS AS LONG AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT WASHING THEM. In his case, he wore his $165 pair of “Nudie Jeans” 330 different times over a 15 month period without washing them…. just to see if you could and what would happen.
A funky science project, if you will.
That’s over 60 weeks.
