The NATIONAL PEST MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION has released the results of their 2010 Pest Control Attitudes and Usage Survey, and it’s not pretty if you’re an ant.

According to the survey of over 1,000 US homeowners, ANTS are the number one pest in American homes.  Termites, spiders, cockroaches, and mosquitos follow on the list.  Some of the highlights include:

In honor of NATIONAL COFFEE DAY on September 29th, Dunkin’ Donuts and CareerBuilder teamed up to identify the PROFESSIONS THAT REQUIRE THE MOST COFFEE.

They asked over 3,600 office workers about their coffee-drinking habits, and found that 32% of office workers require a cup of coffee to get through the workday.  43% said that they are less productive without their morning Joe.  Web Watch figures this is why the majority of offices offer their staff free coffee — it’s a small cost to pay for happy workers.

Web Watch is always careful when we visit with our friends who have small children to watch our language.  After all, it’s common courtesy to not recite George Carlin’s list of Dirty Words in front of those who are too young to appreciate the nuance of language, or who may be offended overall by hearing words in polite company that would be later yelled out the car window at the a-hole who just cut you off in traffic.

But it may end up that Web Watch has been overly cautious.  While we don’t want to be the ones who introduces foul language to our friends’ children, it may be that the deed has already been done long before we showed up for the pot-luck.
